He's doing as well as Veldehr was at least. Not saying much. Was very disappointed with His play. Maybe the natural position switch will work out. RT' s are easier to plug in then LT' s. At the least he's been pretty durable.

Nobody can complain about his play the first half. He's looked very good and more natural/athletic.

The modified line & Catman are both doing better than the prognosticators on this board are saying they would.

DJ played fine. Ulrick John should be cut tomorrow morning. Cole Toner should be right guard and bump Wetzel out to right tackle.

I thought Humphries looked very good. Freeney got him once but that's about it. If DJ can play like that all the time, we'll be fine at LT. I thought he'd start the year at LT and move Veldheer to RT. That will probably be the case next year.

I agree. Humphries is a liability at RT but played very well today in pass pro.

DJ played the best of all of the offensive lineman. The rest looked like garbage to hot smelly ....

Oh dear, sweet, merciful Christ, I hope Palmer has a sweet life insurance policy. Humpty Dumpty is going to protect Palmer's blind side? Has he been measured for a casket yet? lol

Yeah, 'cause even the human turnstile started a lot there, proving you can absolutely suck and still start.

lol Those apologists have already started on this thread, man.

Mass hysteria! :D

1) Humphries got TE coverage more often than not during the game.

2) Despite this, he allowed multiple pressures.

3) Atlanta focused on the guy who'd never played an NFL game rather than exploit Humphries. That will change.

4) But good job kinda containing Adrian Clayborn for four quarters, I guess?

Wow, Humph had a really outstanding game if K9 was forced to actually give him a "good game kinda" type of comment!

Look at that! Our 1st round LT did a darn good job playing LT for the first time in 2 years. Whatdya know about that? Almost as if he shouldve been the LT this entire time......

He can only improve too. Im very optimistic. DJ LT/ Veldheer RT is the future, and we'll be better for it.

Now we just need to fill the entire middle of out line. All 3 guys.

He had to deal with Freeny, which is no walk in the park.

I saw Dwight get a couple of spin moves in on him, but DJ was not a liability at LT. At least, he earned another start next Sunday.

Our tigh ends doesn't give much help to our tackle, just fells can block but was injured for several games
Gresham is a good receiver, but velow average blocker, should be more involved in passing games

Humphries is a work in process, need to get stronger, doesnt handle very well bull rusher

Beasley usually lines up on that side(John's). How is that focusing on John? I think it was more of a product of a Wetzel/John right side of the OL versus Iupati, DJ on the left. Beasley just beat John like a drum all day. A couple sacks/pressures were with Gresham on Beasley, once, and Freeney, once.

If you don't think Humphries played well yesterday then you just want something to complain about him. His set was good, he played with power, and he showed fantastic athleticism.

I think it's time to Boehm in at center too. Of course, that is based on nothing but Shipley. Boehm could be horrible in practice for all I know.

from the "take if for what its worth" file: PFF gave Humphries a solid grade yesterday. Not fantastic, but good.

I think at the end of the day, Humphries likely develops into a solid but not pro-bowl tackle.

so weird how offensive line went from one of the safest positions to draft to one of the bust-iest.

Keim on the radio this morning went out of his way to praise Humphries, who "was very excited to play LT."

So .. they only played him at RT just to get him on the field? shm

I think this was BA and Keim trying to out-think the room.

Common sense: Hes a LT. Put him at LT. Instead, BASK puts him at RT because.....who knows why.

And they did it with Nkemdiche too. Immature guy whos college resume is completely void of production. But BASK think they are smarter than everyone, and they can coach him up.

They did it again with Branden Williams. A RB playing CB, we can coach him up and he'll be ready to start in the NFL his rookie year.

BA and Keim are very full of themselves.

He wasn't going to start at LT over Veldeer. Not sure what you are getting at.

Exactly. Why force-feed him into a position he has clearly struggled with? Just to get their 1st round pick on the field?
