We need to save that cap-room to maybe re-structure somebody.

It is not like we are going anywhere soon, anyway.

I've been on the side of staying away from wanting Dansby because him and D-Wash play the same position, but if D-Wash really is guilty of domestic abuse then I'm all for bringing Dansby back.

I'd like to see Dansby back even if DWash didn't have any issues. He can still ball!

I am surprised we haven't signed Dansby yet. It makes too much sense. He must be asking for way too much money.

Rhodes also.

At this point we need someone. If the allegations are true, Washington could be suspended for most of the season now and we cannot depend on rookies to fill in for that amount of time. Second offense could be 6-8 games to go along with the first 4 games.

If we were able to resign Rhodes, and bring Dansby, back I'd do a backflip!

Well...I'd try to do a backflip...more than likely I'd land on my head, but I think you get the point. LOL

Given the divorce is there anything supporting Michael Bidwill ever wanting to cut another cheque to KD?

If Michael is about winning, then nothing short of Simeon Ricing the Cardinals should prevent him from signing someone. Plus, I do not think the way he left was all that bad. If I am not mistaken, one of the factors was to be closer to home and with no state income tax, he ended up getting a little more money.

I would prefer Daryl Smith, but Dansby would be fine as well. I hope we do something because I don't love the idea of starting Brinkley and Minter inside for at least 4 games next season.

I have to imagine at this point, Dansby's options are eroding. Any animosity he may hold against the organization may go on the back burner if it meant signing a contract (Graves and Whiz are gone, so I'm not sure who he'd have beef with except for Bidwill). I think if he hasn't already, Keim needs to make the call to his agent and bring him in. With all of the uncertainty surrounding D-Wash, it makes too much sense.

Dansby was on Bickley and MJ the day after he was release. He said he holds the Cardinals in high regaurd and his decision to leave for 100% a business decision and nothing else. He addmitted he is abut the money.

For Dansby, the best linebacker to grace God's green earth :sarcasm: , it has always been about the money. I'm surprised as anyone that he isnt on a roster right now, but it could very well be because he is pricing himself out of the market.

I didn't hear that interview. Good to know he doesn't have ill will for the franchise like some players. :COUGH: Boldin :COUGH:

At this point, the team needs to cover its ass and get someone else in just in case this Washington thing escalates. Dansby fits the bill to a "T."

Remember when this franchise was so speaky clean that weak could hate on players for being mercenaries or "me first" guys? I know I held Dansby is such low regard for that reason.

But now, I've been given perspective. There are a lot of worse things to be than greedy. Go get him.

Dansby had over 100 tackles last year. He will hold up. Give him a one year high incentive production contract and he'll sign.

With Wash likely out 6-8 games now...and on a fast track to being kicked out for the year we need another ILB.

You can bet Keim, BA and Michael B had a conversation about DWash this morning...and everyone's trust level is ZERO with him now. He had the benefit of the doubt with one error - excuse me 5 errors with pot, but now he's a train wreck.

If DWash comes out and yells he's innocent and gets proven guilty...he'll be outta town faster than a ray of light.

I am beside myself thinking how DWash went from Pro Bowl stand up human to piece of **** letting his team completely down in one offseason is frustrating as a fan.

You can bet that Keim is on the phone this morning with teams and FA's looking for another ILB. They will not HOPE that DWash figures it out at this point....they are cutting ties.

As DESERTDAWG states in his quote below....DWash went from Park Place and Boardwalk to a Baltic Avenue player in one offseason. Cards couldn't trade him for a 5th round pick today.

its a good thing you dont run our legal system or every person who is accused of something would wind up in prison without due process or a trial.

A whole lot of assumptions based on presumptions.

Obviously we don't know what exactly happened. What we do know is that the woman has a history of attacking her boyfriend and she has bruises on her neck.

Dwash could have created an altercation.
She could have made the bruises herself and trying to scam him.
She could have gotten into an altercation with him and then being afraid created bruises to justify hitting him.
She could have created the altercation and in the process of trying to defend himself, choked her.

Or it could be something else.

Hopefully he didn't create the altercation. Hopefully he had a crazy ex-girlfriend.

If he has any bruises or cuts, hopefully him and his lawyers are documenting them.

It's possible both get charged, no matter who is the instigator.

I wonder what would happen then from the NFL perspective. If in the process of defending himself, if that's what happened, he went a bit far, what punishment, if any, do you merit out?

Any way you slice it, domestic violence situations are messy indeed. We have really crazy laws that treat it completely different then other offenses. For good and bad. They are unique situations as many times there's been cases where a woman called, then saw her husband/boyfriend being taken away and attacked and killed the officer. Where other times you have people wrongly thrown in jail and bankrupted by the procedures with this situation needlessly and ruthlessly. So the domestic violence situations and laws themselves make for messy situations all around.

So we have no way of knowing what happened and just have to wait and see what the hell happened. He could be fully guilty. He could be the victim. They both could be guilty with varying degrees of fault.

IMO at this point the Cards need to be proactive and try to sign someone. Dansby would be imo a good choice.

Never too early to start trashing the alleged victim.
