IF AND WHEN HEALTHY...
Insurance policy????????? He'd probably still be the best LB on the team.
Only if D Wash is unable to return is this statement accurate.

Washington is the only guy that an argument can be made to compare to Dansby.Only if D Wash is unable to return is this statement accurate.
If we were able to resign Rhodes, and bring Dansby, back I'd do a backflip!
Well...I'd try to do a backflip...more than likely I'd land on my head, but I think you get the point. LOL
I am holding you to that. You must post the results on youtube!!!
No problem! I'll get a kickstarter going to help mitigate my healthplan deductible.
Winning?
Washington is the only guy that an argument can be made to compare to Dansby.
Dansby was/is one of the most, if the not the most, underappreciated, undervalued player that has played for the Cards since moving to Arizona.
People love D Wash but Dansby was a bigger version of Washington and without the off filed issues.
I think this would be a very good signing. Personally, I would try to sign him for two years, not one, but I'm not sure he would be interested in that.
As far as where Dansby would fit, immediately he would fill in at WILB. After Washington comes back, Dansby could move over to SILB in certain circumstances. More importantly, he would be a great nickel LB, especially if the Cards run a 3-3 at times. He would give the Cardinals another solid option in passing downs where he has traditionally made the most impact.
We will see.
Big Dansby fan here but more of a dwash fan at this point. IMO hes already better and hasnt even hit his prime. Now, off field issues have obviously brought that into question but talent wise - ill take dwash.
Washington is probably the more talented athlete--better speed, has done a good job adding size--but Dansby is probably still the better FOOTBALL PLAYER right now. He turns 32 this season, so he's just on the back end of his prime, but he's a very smart football player and gives his defensive coordinator a lot of options to play with.
He's also a great leader and teammate. He called the plays when he was here, and maybe did so for Miami, as well as was voted team captain for the Cards and the Dolphins. That's something that still hadn't happened for Washington.
I have not followed him closely but in the two games I did see him play he was awsome.I'd like to see Dansby back even if DWash didn't have any issues. He can still ball!
True but Wash is only 2 years in, leadership and captain stuff is usually a few years in. I got no beef with either one but I hope wash gets it together as we can have him for 10 years vs just a few.
??? You know that last year was Washington's third year as a pro, right? He was clearly one of the three best defensive players on the team going into the year, but his teammates preferred to give Paris Lenon the "C" and his coaches preferred to give Paris Lenon the green dot.
Anthony Sherman was a special teams captian in only his second season--also voted on by teammates.
Sean Lee was a defensive captain for Dallas last year. Eric Berry was a defensive captain for the Chiefs. Gerald McCoy was a defensive captain for the Bucs last year. All these guys were in the same draft class or later as Daryl Washington.
Looks like he wants more than a one year deal.

Karlos Dansby recently visited Buffalo but the two sides couldn't reach an agreement, hearing Dansby is looking for more then a one yr deal.
That is even better news for the Cardinals IMO. A 2 or 3 year deal puts more pressure on Washington to get his act together and gives the Cardinals better negotiating power if they want to restructure his deal after recent events.
True that, and this front house has been all about the money too. Setting it up big for later IMO, and a 2 year could help them out with other monies, especially if Dansby produces at a high level. That is even better news for the Cardinals IMO.
