I wish I had just seen Sunday’s game. It would also be nice if I was here for the BB Cards. Sadly I’m just passing through on my way back to Orlando. I travel on points, mostly, if you don’t do that but you’re disciplined enough to pay credits off fully monthly, take a look at thepointsguy.com. I haven’t paid for an airline ticket in 5 years. That’s not a commercial, just a tip. I heard you had a big storm yesterday but the played the BB game and everyone was kind to Goldy. That’s a nice gesture. Would the Dbacks have made the playoffs with him this year? Anyway sorry about the Big Red. Looks like we’re in for a long year. I’m sorry if I discouraged people by my posts but I’m too old to stop calling them like I see them. This doesn’t mean all is lost. I just think this will not be a short journey to success. I’m not anti-Murray. I just hope he realizes he must change his game. He’s got the speed & the arm, he needs the right plan of attack. I also hope he doesn’t get beaten down like Rosen. The same is true of KK needing to change. I just think coaches are less likely to change. They spend their career trying to convince people they have the answers. A few change but more go down with the ship.

I’ve reviewed some of the Carolina game and I really impressed with their backfield motion. The misdirection and timing of the potential ball carriers was superb. The flow was impressively smooth. That was different from anything I’ve seen from Carolina. The Cards likely didn’t practice against it. The D got out-coached but then they’re woefully undermanned also. They won’t likely improve much this year.

The Cards need a great deal to compete for the playoffs. A new O-line & D-Line too. Sadly, Suggs must be replaced. A fast, strong safety must be added. Really except for QB & WR there’s no depth except maybe CB. I don’t think you can add that much in one year. Two good drafts & several FAs will be needed even if all goes well.

The only discouraging thing to me are the fans that want to believe we are in anything but a full blown rebuild. Part due to delaying roster decisions starting back in 2016 and part from the horrendous choice of Wilks last year, along with McCoy.

I'm just going to kick back and see if the direction keeps pointing up over the season in terms of coaching, game planning and Murray's growth.

I got like 90k points with American...meh. All kinds of restrictions and BS come with them. I’m not to impressed but flight options from the Bay Area to Phoenix are kind of limited(American and Southwest)

I'll be right behind you soon. Heading to Orlando in a couple of days to visit the Outlaws.

My wife is a UCF alum and wanted to see the game on Saturday but after the heartbreaking loss to Pitt this past weekend we changed our minds.

Safe Travels!

Sadly, Suggs must be replaced.

Sadly the Cards signed him. Nothing than a hometown roots P R signing. Negative P R if they cut him. Signings like this hardly ever seem to work out positively. Who signed off on this?

You don’t?

IMHO - the Cardinals did the right thing in getting Murray

I believe football is won or lost in the trenches ...not outside....
You have to draft and build O line 1st and D line 2nd LB's 3rd and the rest comes after.
Teams have shown and proven you don't need a star RB to win....you don't need star WR's to win....in fact almost every super bowl champion for the past 20 years didn't have either. You don't need star CB's or Safeties.
Murray is being pressured in 1.5 seconds ...Tom Brady, Peyton Manning nor Joe Montana could produce with that O line ...and thus the reason they have NO running game at all....they're on pace to be one of the worst running teams to have ever played.

Cardinals have NO O lineman that are worth having as starters
Chandler Jones is the ONLY D lineman worth keeping

and that boys and girls is the Cardinals trenches - all of 1 (really good) player

So what do they do

#1 Trade whatever you need to and get Trent Williams from the Redskins. He's a 7 time all-pro player....and pay him whatever you need to
#2Fire Steve Keim as GM - as one poster said so beautifully 'He spends money like an 18 year old with their 1st credit card' ....this team is already $35 million in debt for next year....that's one thing if you have a winning team, but they are not even close to winning...and you're still in debt....get outta here....and you just signed a guy and cut him for more cap problems and money loss...where's your head at? His draft choices are not panning out...nor are his contract extensions...sorry bud, but that's your job....there's the door.
#3 See if you can trade David Johnson for something in return - O line or D line ...Keim again caused another huge cap problem with this deal.
#4 - Purge the entire O line as fast as you can
#5 - Purge the entire D line as fast as you can
#6 - Find the trade value of PP - and while I LOVE LOVE LOVE him - any player using PED's and using masking agents is more aware of his demise than any of us....something is wrong if he's using and masking....and hopefully he has a great season and they can get some huge return on him....if not you keep him.
#7 Figure out if Vance Joesph really wants this job or not. Not only do I see bad team out there I see him smiling on the sidelines like a guy who's getting paid and doesn't care...that's what scares me ....is to me it looks like he doesn't give a dang ....he's not a HC anymore and he's mad he's back at DC.
#8 Tell the special teams coach - ON EVERY and I mean EVERY kickoff - take a knee when receiving it and when you kick off KICK IT OUT OF THE ENDZONE EVERY SINGLE TIME.
#9 and #10 - Keep Andy Lee and Zane Gonzalez - they're good...including the long snapper
#11 Get Andy Isabella involved more in the game plan. He has WORLD CLASS speed and was the #1 PFF WR coming out of college, for god's sake use him. I simply don't get how he's on the sidelines.

that's a start...then we can start #12 - #20

And you think a losing college coach with zero NFL experience and a GM who’s proven to be a terrible evaluator of talent are the men for the job?
Wilks and McCoy are gone and nothing they did last season has carried over to this team. It was one year and they had very little to do with personal decisions. That’s Keim.

Harry don’t ever change. Sometimes the truth hurts. Sometimes I disagree with you even though you have more football knowledge in you pinky finger than I have in my entire body. Keep posting!

I agree with most of ARZ’s post except #3 See if you can trade David Johnson for something in return - O line or D line ...Keim again caused another huge cap problem with this deal.

I still think he’s a misused unique talent. I don’t think they get more than a 3rd for PP; best to keep him. They just need so much it’s daunting. Two years more is optimistic but doable if they dump SK.

I like Kingsbury so far.
I never made any positive statements regarding Keim.
And chaos carried over from Wilks/McCoy - players that stayed have to learn yet another system and personnel is selected across 3 coaches preferences from 2017-2019.

If you put in value in transitional costs and change management, last year cost us a lot.

Pederson took over the Eagles and went 7-9 with a confused roster, then the Superbowl.

Shannahan took over the 49ers to go 6-10, then worse with a loss of his starting QB the next year; but this year is looking solid so far.

Both coaches needed a year to adjust the rosters, implement their systems, and even learn to be an NFL head coach.

We have a bad roster and Keim screwed up last year and we couldn't churn as much as we needed to this year - so we are just going to be bad this year. We need another year to be competitive, roster-wise - who knows how good this coaching can get.

We lost to a team with 10 days to prepare and had a QB that could finally fit the open guys that Norv's been scheming open all season.

The next couple of games will tell us if we need to really be conceerned.

I wish I could be optimistic about Kingsbury but it’s hard. I agree that this team is rebuilding and it just seems to me that they’re trying to skip steps and add the QB and receivers instead of building a foundation. The skeptic in me thinks Kliff is in a situation that has very little chance of being successful. Hope I’m wrong.

I too noted the irony of the StL BB Cards visiting AZ for a series.

I view the Cards as a dynamic process involving a lot of experimentation, revision and re-revision. How well KK and his people can adjust on the fly, learn as they go and make the necessary changes will, if they carry it out well, be interesting and fun to watch. Stay safe as you sail thru the stratosphere, Harry

So essentially you're saying they need a new team
Yup.

And I will be the first to say I have very little confidence in our WR.

OL
TE
WR
RB
DL
ILB
OLB - but just one side
S

This is what a team looks like when your personnel department is the equivalent of gas station sushi vending machine.

I would think going to the game after the tough lose would be very supportive. Its easy to support your team when they win what 26 out 27 games....eh oh well

Do you do anything besides come here and judge people?

We get it, you are an awesome fan. I am sure somewhere there is someone who is very impressed.

But, you condescention has you coming off quite poorly in my opinion.

And personally, I find it to be a poor showing of being a fan to constantly slam others' actions on how they enjoy their sports.

Believe it or not some people do not base thier lives on football.

So maybe back off a little.

Its easy to go to games and have a grand ole time when they win 20+ in a row and thats great id love that...tough when you start getting that losing feeling. It sucks the air out of ya. I think its a great story im just anti Florida sports is all. Having a little rub but also showing how much nicer to go to games when winning is happening

Why do you dislike Fl? There are tons of great recruits coming out of the high schools down here. UCF is rebuilding their skilled player group. They’re a fun offense to watch. They had a let down but I’m guessing they’ll bounce back big time. They’re a program on the move.

Ive never liked any of their teams its weird. You can name any sport any team and ive never rooted for a florida team. Im a huge Vols fan so The triangle of FSU...Miami and Florida are all automatic for me. The only Florida sports i liked was the Dodgers and Vero Beach. I do admit though Florida has some talent no matter the sports. Youth athletics down there is good

I’m with Harry. Some people would balk at the idea that I spend nearly 1500 in credit card annual fees a year. Lol.
