S&T for Skita? :p

That is what the Denver Post is talking about.
"The Phoenix Suns have a surplus of shooting guards in newcomer Quentin Richardson, Joe Johnson and Casey Jacobsen. An NBA source said the Suns would not trade Johnson, and are impressed with Jacobsen's recent summer league play but would listen to inquiries about him. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound Jacobsen averaged six points last season and was ninth in the NBA in 3-point percentage (.417). Nuggets forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili could be intriguing to the Suns because his former Italy Benneton Treviso coach, Mike D'Antoni, coaches the Suns."

Since the Knicks have Baker's Bird rights, it does not count against their MLE. The Knicks owners have an unlimited amount of money and are willing to spend a ridiculous amount to get even marginal improvements.

This is why there are guys like Vince Carter who want to get traded to the Knicks. It is a great place for guys to get a huge amount of money for not doing much.

He gets to do that in Toronto.

If we do a trade to get a center, I think that we need to keep CJ. But if we keep our lineup the way it is and just sign a center for cheap like pryzsibilla then we should get Skita. IMO Skita can be much better then Zarko or Lampe.

Interesting perspective. You are clearly in the minority on this one, but I am curious what makes you think so. I've only seen Skita a couple of times and he was awful. Are you basing your view on summer league or do you know something else we don't?

Well he was a #6 pick... but thats not the point.

I saw some summer league games on NBATV and yeah, he seems better then Zarko and Lampe. Actually, hes a lot like Lampe except a litter taller, and his shot is more polished. I made a mistake when I compared him to Cabarkapa. They are quite different players.

#5, but who is counting? :p

I am pretty sure Lampe is a lot stronger, and heavier. Supposedly he is pushing 275, and unless Skita bulked up a lot, he is no where near that.

Skita will be a SF, Lampe will be a PF or C.

Skita may look taller than Lampe, but it isn't going to be by much. Skita is listed at 7'0" and Lampe is LISTED at 6'11".

Summer league is a bit deceptive. I think we all know that Lampe did not play well early (by his own admission he was tentative) and is still trying to learn how to be a center. I didn't see the games, but I'm told Skita is still playing SF which is not a position change. What matters with Lampe is that he improved his defense and rebounding during the RMR which is what the Suns need.

Summer league play can be deceptive. If I overvalued summer league play I'd be pushing the Suns to sign Loren Woods. By all reports he played extremely well and he is now listed at 7'2" 262. But I'm also aware that Loren has done almost nothing in three years in the NBA.

I've seen Tskitishvili in summer league too. He's quicker on his feet than Lampe is, and he create his own shot off the dribble to some degree. He is a wing player, after all. Lampe needs to be open to shoot and doesn't shoot on the move. Comparing them isn't very informative, because Tskitishvili really is a SF and Lampe is a PF/C.

I think that Tskitishvili is closer to Cabarakapa in terms of how he plays than he is to Lampe. I haven't seen Cabarkapa in a while, so I don't know who looks better right now. Tskitishvili seems more comfortable in what he does than Lampe does, but their games are pretty dissimilar.
