I dont know how you guys got it in your minds that the cards were going to go out and sign some player to a 5+ million deal a year. Look at the deals that have been struck, all were very expensive. I fthe cards are able to sign berry/hicks a corner and a guard this is the best offseason ever. We should be happy for once that the cards didn't lose multiple quality starters. So hold on to your britches, there are lots of good players left.

And there aren't even that many good players on the Cards.

OL: Davis a T who can't play T.
Maybe Kendall?

DL: No one.

LB: Varied opinions. No sure thing maybe McKinnon could be called good or is he average.

DB: Stark is good (but injuries) and D Jackson is good.

RB: Shipp is average at best. Not good.

TE: Jones had a good year, maybe now he will be good.

I think that is it.

That is pathetic oh wait you have a great/good punter.

1. Bring in great players.

2. Bring in good players.

3. Start winning games and making the playoffs.

Pete Kendall, L.J. shelton are good O-Lineman. Ray Thompson is a very good LB. James Hodgins is a very good FB. Freddie Jones is a top TE in the league and should have been in the Pro Bowl. Calling McKinnon average? Very underrated LB. 105 tackles last year is above average. Those are the easy ones, more could be argued. There are a lot of average to above average players on this team. Unfortunately, they haven't played as a team in the past, but they actually do have talented football players.

(1) I have seen several posters here claim Shelton is bad or average. I gave you Kendall and Davis (barely).

(2)I will give you F Jones.

(3) I will give you McKinnon - again some people here doubt him.


(4) Ray Thompson has his critics here as does the FB Hodgins.

(5) Good players? They should be near unanimous calls on them.

Even if I give you couple more good guys. So what?

1 great player?
and what...
8 good players?


There is a reason this team finished last in offense and defense.

This team isn't as bad as they looked last year. They were competitive at home against good teams. I think the new coaching staff will make them competitive every game. They just needed coaching and not a cheerleader like they had. I think we'll be surprised at what our current players will do.
