First, Malone never intentionally hit anyone with his elbow. That famous play to DRob? He didn't even see where David was!

Second, Ginobili got Barbosa sidelined for several months with unnec. flopping act as posters here have been trying to put to your attention. There are other incidences, too. So, the kick to Amare's groin fits a pattern.
did you see when malone violently elbowed nash in the face. He was ejected and suspended for his actions....maybe it wasn't on purpose.

You refuse to respond to my point, you can't read, and you can barely write. Welcome to my Ignore list.
I can barely write....actually i am typing but i get your point. Why is it that ginobli is the most hated player? I've never seen so much hate for ginobli come from other players and critics of the nba. Only on this site. I've seen a lot of hate for bruce bowen, but not ginobli. What about kobe? He doesn't flopp around at the defensive end, but he throws his body around at the offensive end. This is a physical game. I'm just stating my opinion. Raja bell is a physical player as well. Didn't he throw kobe to the ground last year? I was at that game. But i'm sure that's a free pass.

Wrong, Raja is loved here despite the fact because he threw Kobe to the ground but his intentions were at least clear and manly there. Ginobli on the other hand acts like a little girl who was shot with a 12 gauge and projects himself into opponents knees and groins without regard to their career. He is the type of person who will sacrifice someones career for a call and there is a line I think you cannot cross.

He is not only disliked by fans but NBA players make very strong comments as well. That tells you something IMO.

Irony is a bitch, and sooner or later he is going to get Randy Livingstoned, mark my words.

and what if kobe would have broke his wrist? remember the phoenix player that broke his wrist on a takedown by danny fortson a couple of years back? was that manly? it was manly in your eyes because raja is a suns player. I'm sure lakers fans hate him for it. apparantly it wasn't manly to the nba because bell got suspended. There are so many other players in the nba besides ginobli that are looked down upon by various fans and players. I don't think by any means that ginobli is public enemy #1 in the eyes of most when it comes to the nba. I'm trying to be neutral here. I dislike the spurs far worse than i dislike the suns. and when the mavs play the spurs i get off my seat after a ginobli flopp. But i respect the player because he will do anything to help his team win at both ends of the floor.....even if it means putting his own body in harms way. Now having said that i respect the opinions of suns fans. I'm not a ginobli fan by any means.

Don't you see that's exactly the issue here? It's hard to judge someone's intention. The guy will get a "not guilty" rule in the court everytime on the ground of insufficient evidence, despite the community as a whole believing otherwise.

So, all you can be save of is when you see injuries accumulate in association with a particular player, like in case of Malone, and Ginobili. They are not doing anything intentionally, but still they are reckless as to collateral injuries to fellow players. And that's the difference to Raja. Name one player he got injured before you equal him to Manu!

"Ginobili always likes to flop," Barbosa told The Arizona Republic. "Nobody even touched him. He jost flopped. That's why I feel sad to hurt myself like that. I wish I could have hurt myself in another way." - from 11/2005

Arguably, Barbosa's break out season could have been a year earlier if not for Ginobili.

well i'm not going to compare ginobli to malone. Malone was a much better player period. and he was swung his elbow without regard to nash in that game. I said before.....i didn't see when ginobli flopped into barbosa. To this point everything that i've seen from ginobli has been respectable. And i've always thought that most around the nba respect manu. Obviously that isn't the case in phoenix.

As far as I'm concerned, what Manu does to other players is intentional. If he smashed into his own teammates 4/9ths of the time then you could argue that he throws himself about at random but he hasn't ever hurt a teammate that I've heard of nor have I ever seen him flop into one of his teammates. Frankly, I would think if Tim Duncan and other Spurs were at risk the way opponents are then they'd straighten him out in short order, since they have to be on the floor with him every night. So if he can avoid his teammates he can avoid opponents and since he doesn't that makes the hits intentional - and Popovich has to be condoning it.
