About Rosenhaus. It almost seems that he is the favorite agent to have a big impact. Is it just me, or is everything I hear really, "Rosenhaus this, Rosenhaus that". (By the way, I think that is a bad thing!)

He is going to be a major part of the contract disputes according to what some of the GM's are saying.

DR has several holdout players. But from what I've read he is causing more harm than good for his players. TO and Boldin for example. Both have contracts they have signed and will not honor them. Go figure.

Right now, I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel for either. Get you butts in camp fellas, wait too late. Maybe the front offices are mad enough now to go another direction. (rookies)

The Philadelphia Eagles are moving on without Terrell Owens and Freddie Mitchell. COMMENTARY

Eagles won't blink during T.O. staredown
by Clark Judge
What's Your Take?
Tell Clark your opinion!
With Owens holding out of Philadelphia's mandatory minicamp and Mitchell on his way out of town, rookie wide receiver Reggie Brown is getting a chance to show off his skills.

"I've been waiting my whole life to be in this position and I'm going to take advantage," Brown said Saturday. "Football is what I was raised on. It's good to come to a city that loves football."

Brown, selected in the second round during last Saturday's NFL Draft with the 35th overall pick, is getting a crash course in the Eagles' version of the West Coast offense this weekend. He's spending more time learning the playbook than working on new moves.
"They're not really teaching techniques," he said. "You should have that down. They're teaching us the plays. I think my progress has been good."

Brown had 144 catches for 2,008 yards and 12 touchdowns in four years at Georgia. The Eagles liked his strength and ability to run after catches, and scouts consider him very athletic with excellent field vision.

"He's doing a very nice job in there with a lot of volume and a lot of physical play," offensive coordinator Brad Childress said. "I've seen him do some things underneath the defense and I've seen him do some things down the field stretching the defense."

Brown can play any of the wideout positions and is spending time playing both the inside and outside spots in camp. He's willing to line up wherever the teams needs him.

"He can really play either out or in," Childress said. "He's big enough in stature to get in there, but you just want him to make sure that he's full speed at whatever he's doing. You don't want him measuring or thinking."

Rookie Reggie Brown is already receiving praise from Philadelphia's offensive coordinator. (AP) Philadelphia's receivers haven't contributed much in their rookie years, mainly because the intricacies of the Eagles offense are difficult to master.

Starter Todd Pinkston had 10 catches in 2000. Mitchell caught 21 passes in 2001. Greg Lewis made six receptions in 2003 and Billy McMullen hauled in one pass that season.

Childress is optimistic Brown can work his way into the rotation, especially with Owens' status uncertain.

"That's the goal," Childress said. "He's certainly shown an aptitude and the ability to be able to hold his own. It's just a matter of how he continues to grow. After 60-70 practices, we'll know a lot more."

Owens, an All-Pro last season, skipped camp because he wants a new contract. His holdout could extend deep into training camp, which starts in late July. Owens said several times since Philadelphia lost the Super Bowl he wants to renegotiate the seven-year deal he signed last March. The Eagles have refused to redo the contract worth more than $46 million.

Mitchell, a former first-round pick, was told by coach Andy Reid to stay home while the Eagles ponder trading or releasing him. Mitchell talked himself off the team with his outspoken comments and his constant griping about his role in the offense.

I hate the Eagles, but this is just an example.

It's just DR's way of doing things. His tactics worked in the Portis situation and that's what these players saw and think it's going to work for them. The Portis situation was unique because of Denver's belief that any RB could be successful there. And, they have shown to be right in that.Plus, they needed CB help and found a willing trade partner in Washington with Bailey.Throw in the fact that Snyder throws around money like it's worthless and all the stars were lined up to get Portis his new deal and trade. Now DR is dealing back in reality when he deals with Philly or the Cards. They have shown their resolve in contract situations and won't let DR dictate terms to them. You would think player could see this.I remember when Leigh Steinberg was the hot agent and it didn't seem like he had alot of guys missing significant time. They may hold out until they signed their initial contract but they usually got done in a reasonable time. He's more a what an agent should be.

"..and in this corner.."

 Isn't Rose-nsuck also the agent for Diamondback 2004 first round pick Stephen Drew[little brother to JD Drew] What a fuchstick!!!!
Boldin is a man and the rest of the Cards receivers are boys, just look last year when he came back!!! Also am I the only one who thinks BJohnson has had enough time to step up, and I'm afraid he never will?
Just wondering..
By the by, I like the way Mooch took Williams at #10 this year.. Rogers is too slight to stay healthy in the NFL. I would have traded down and picked up a 2nd and took Oklahoma's Clayton..
GO GARDS!!!

Thats Scott Boras (sp?)...he's the MLB version of DR...i guess he feels a 7 million offer for drew...who is unproven outside of college...isn't good enough. They're both (insert favorite graphic not-nice statement here)

Last year the Potsons were the bad guys becuase they were doing the same sort of things. Eventually a few of their players dumped them because of it. Therfe will always be an "evil" agent. It is just Drew's turn to be that guy.

I heard Rosenhaus got a bridge out of the remaining two years of a contract. London sent the bridge to Arizona where it's contract was completely restructured.

Mr. Drew is just following in the footsteps of his brother when he was drafted by the Phillies.

Maybe he will wind up on another team, get injured a lot, go through massive slumps, and never live up to his potential just like JD did on the Cardinals...

I heard

Drew was the guy who told the seventh calvary to go on down to the Little Big Horn and that Sitting bull was only preparing a picnic for him. For years the 7th's motto was we got screwed by Drew.

Drew negotiated on behalf of Manhattan island which shirked an all eternity deal with the Indians. Manhattan went to play for the Dutch for a (apparently very lucrative at the time) $24 in trade beads signing bonus.

WTG Drew!

I heard that Rosenhaus represented the chief priests in their negotiations with Judas, getting them the son of man for a paltry 30 pieces of silver.

Some say he also represented Brutus and was instrumental in Ceasar's fall.

Rumors abound that he was on the payroll of Mrs. O'Leary's cow, but I think them's just legends.

Rosenhaus duped the citizens of Troy with not a horse, but a large wooden Heisman Trophy.
