if you turned on the fiesta bowl game or the BCS national title game you would (still can) see beautiful ariel views of our awesome retractable roof stadium with the roof closed. It is 8pm and i am sitting outside with no sweater, it is PERFECT weather.

I couldve sworn the roof was open either pregame, or early in the game....did they maybe close it at the half?

The opened it right before halftime, but then closed it again when the 3rd quarter started.

I was initially listening to the game on the radio....and they said it was open for pregame festivities and flyover of military planes...but it would close right before the game started. The radio guys gave some lame explanation...something about the decision makers wanted the fans to be able to have the same temperature inside the stadium as they would have had before the sun went down before the game.....they said it basically could get a little chilly at night in AZ....and they did not wants fans who were wearing t-shirts before the game started (at the pregame festivies earlier in the day) to get cold after the sun went down......so they wanted everyone to have the perfect temperature....did not want people in t-shirts to be cold....

I know....very lame...but that is what dan patrick or colin cowherd said on pregame on ESPN radio..they were both at the stadium...very lame...

Well, it would have been cool to be in there and watch the roof open and close.

Don't know why the NFL won't let them do that.

^The people in tshirts from Ohio I doubt will be cold, and those from Florida can go buy some sweaters.

It looked kinda cool to see the roof kinda lit up, but, really, there is no reason not to have the roof open tonight. C'mon. It was a beautiful night in the desert.

Actually, lIke it really matters to any of us any way.
