marion :(

i don't blame him for being frustrated with being here. they tried trading him multiple times. i'd be mad too.

it's just not the same watching the suns without his excitement. best of luck to him the rest of his career.

the miami heat are going to be a fun team to watch though!

if he didnt keep bickering and whining i dont think they'd trade him. im sure he contributed to the malaise and even Nash was happy Shaq came over.

The guy was very emotionally immature. It negatively affected the team.

Much more important, his presence meant both an undersized Power Forward and an undersized Center.

And undersized respect from the refs.

Dont miss him either, watch him go into that mode next season when Miami signs Beasley or Rose and the spotlight is not on him.

I'm going to guess that Marion is considered an SF. Marion's problem is that nobody is going to pay him what he wants.

Beasely is also a SF. He can also play a little PF, but he is a natural SF.

I am not so sure that he is still in the same league as Marion, yet, you seriouslsy dont think he is better defensively than Marion and i am not so sure he is as athletic either. I guess we will see how he performs in the NBA against other forwards

Beasely is easily more athletic than Marion at this point. No, I don't think Beasely is better defensively. He has a little Amare/Anthony syndrome in him. Lets see, if Miami picks Beasely, would they rather develop an unbelievable talent or over pay Marion? Also Miami is rebuilding, best to build around Wade and Beasely.

Not sure, but doesnt matter either way.

From a business POV, he either:

Takes 17 million this upcoming season and takes a big paycut in a 3 year contract next season.

Drops the guaranteed 17 million for a shot at a generous 4 year contract.

Honestly I think the 17+3year contract could equal out to more than what anyone would give him for a 4 year.

(3 and 4 year are estimations, could easily be 4 and 5)

Easily??? I dont follow college bball but i really dont see any player easily more athletic than Marion, pound for pound he is right there with the best of em. I agree Miami will be better off developing a young talent, the logical thing to do.

Beasley is described by draftexpress.com at "Best Case: Amare Stoudemire Meets Antawn Jamison"

He's listed at 6'9" 235 At K state he averaged 12.4 rpg, 26.2 ppg, 1.9 bpg, 77.4% ft%, just to name a few items. He even shot 37.9% for college three.

Strengths: Versatile scorer, who despite his size, is a smooth athlete capable of putting up big numbers … Dangerous in the fast break where he is able to finish with ease … Fundamentally, he has many of the rare skills that most power forwards lack - ball handling, perimeter shooting and moderate quickness … This versatility allows him to exploit match-ups from the high post where his foot speed is better than most college power forwards or centers … If his match-up guards him for the drive, Beasley will shoot from 18 feet out … Has three point range when his feet are set … Has improved greatly shooting off the dribble from mid-range … Tremendous rebounder due to his great hands, effective boxing out, and the mobility to grab any rebounds out of position … Makes some very tough shots when driving to the basket thanks to his body strength and control … Aggressive plays like these earn him a good number of trips to the free throw line … Physical player who does not shy away from contact and has the competitiveness to keep dominating, no matter the game’s outcome … Has impressive court vision to see the floor and make passes when motivated … Extremely confident player who feels he is the best on the floor, and many times is … Potentially, Beasley is still developing...

He's so good that some think the Bulls will take him instead of Rose, despite the fact that Rose is the best PG since Paul and fits an obvious need for the Bulls.
