this might be insensitive, but do any of you know that oklahoma is landlocked? they don't have hurricanes or typhoons. they do have tornados and twisters.

Intersting topic. OK has never had pro-basketball, so going back to old NBA or ABA names is out.

All the obvious Native American names are out.

I hope they dont go the route of the Charlotte Bob(Johnson)cats.

I have always advocated that New Orleans switch from the Hornets to the Jazz, the Jazz to the Grizzlies and the Grizzlies to the Sound.

Have to agree with those who think the Charlotte Flight would have been much better. It's a great nickname and more fitting for NC in my opinion. As for Oklahoma, I like something along the lines of Tornadoes or Storm more than Bison.
