I'm with you Dawg. I've had it. I've got just enough left for one more game of watching the current disaster so after the SF game I'm not watching another Cardinals football game until next year.

I don't think I've ever even looked at the rating on a thread before reading it. Merry Christmas Dawg & everyone else on the forum. Peace to all.

Ditto, never even notice it. Could care less what someone else thinks about my posts. Too old to care about what some stupid A**hole thinks about what I have to say.

You know something---as a so-called moderator of this board---you are, and always have been, a major problem with why posters get tired of getting harassed and victimized by repeated ASFN rules breakers---

Because---not only do you do virtually nothing to enforce the ASFN rules and the spirit of ASFN as highlighted by Skkorp in the sticky thread---you go out of your way to exasperate the situation by throwing gasoline on the fire with your own trashings.

You were the main reason why I took my two week hiatus this year, and why I left the board two years ago.

It's one thing to get harassed by the same cadre of trashers and ASFN rules violators---but to get trashed by a moderator---that's thoroughly egregious and unacceptable.

I have had some issues with other moderators---but they are man enough to apologize for the times they crossed the line.

And they TRULY want what's best for the board.

You?

Not.

In a perverse way you appear to find the trashings amusing and entertaining---all at other people's expenses...and worst of all, at the risk of damaging the board's spirit for good.

On the flip side I rarely ever go to the main Cardinals board anymore because of everyone's complete lack of ability to take a joke.

Look at Jeff the Shark, Hollywood. The guy is hysterical---but best of all, the spirit of his humor is not mean-spirited at the core.

He satirizes my posts from time to time---and I actually laugh---because I understand the spirit of it. Jeff has also made an effort at times to be supportive, so it's not so one-sided as it is with other who constantly belittle others.

I think we can all laugh at ourselves (believe it or not I do from time to time)---dawg does, probably better than 98% of us---

But it is easy to distinguish between good jovial humor and mean-spirited attacks.

Then maybe I am just not qualified to comment as I don't spent that much time in this part of the board (it is way to negative imo) but I haven't seen BIM as a mean spirited person in other parts of the board and from what I have seen here he isn't different here

The only thing I've noticed about BIM is he laughs at my jokes on occasion so that means he can't be too bright.

It would help make things more positive if the Cards would win more than 35% of their games.

2 winning seasons in 14 years. :(

First - for future reference - here are the Cards' board moderators:

MadCardDisease, Chris_Sanders, ajcardfan, Jersey Girl, dreamcastrocks

Did you see my name there?

If someone reports a post or thread it generally goes to them and their judgment first - since they are the mods for that board.

Others, including myself, do have the power to moderate that board but we mostly use our powers to merge threads, remove spammers, etc.

Are you implying that mods should refrain from even posting on the boards they moderate? Impossible to be a fan and have passion and moderate all at once?

Seriously - all this in response to a little smiley in a dawg thread? What Justin posted was funny. Sorry if humor escapes you.

Maybe you don't understand that I am not just a fan or a mod on the board but a friend of many on here. We joke and jab one another. We're there for one another in times of need. We rub shoulders at the games/halftimes.

I know dawg personally. I put him in touch with the realtor he bought his house through. I really do not think he'll mind a little smiley in his thread. No one has reported it or ranted about it but you. If my post was so offensive - report it.

On a serious note - and I have told you this before - I find it sad that you'd let anyone dictate where you post or how you feel.

Not ripping you or making fun of you at all - just bewildered at how you react to others in the virtual world and imagining how uncomfortable it must be for you to actually interact with different types of people in the real world.

Sorry if my smiley offended you and I hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year, Mitch. Don't sweat the small stuff in 2013.

I started posting here because I changed a quote on that site, even said so in my post, to something about how the Cards lost a game. Nothing mean or vulgar. And was suspended for 60 days. The "no joking allowed" mentality made that place suck IMO

I've been on this board since the start and I don't have a clue how to one star a post or why anybody would care.

I don't get why people take some of this stuff so personally. If I have a disagreement with someone I put them on the blocked list for a few weeks to let it die down. if that doesn't solve it, they stay on that list.

Can you imagine how boring this board would be if every post was followed by 10 more +1, I agree, you the man posts?

And I'm the one-star sniper, and I will continue to one-star rate threads/posts because it's irrelevant.

Same thing happened to me. I still go there every once in a while and sometimes even post. I have gotten a "warning" for a couple other things but just blow it off as unimportant because if they banned me it wouldn't be a big loss.

I never look at star ratings. In fact, I forget they are there, as they mean absolutely nothing.

When deciding on something to read, I look at two things first and foremost - thread title and replies/views. I might look at the poster third, but I've never looked at star ratings and seriously, again, I forget they even exist.

Don't sweat that stuff.

Regarding Mitch's issue - this isn't azcardinals official boards, overly moderated and ridiculous. There is absolutely nothing anyone can say to me on this board that would make me want to stop reading interesting and informative items. Posters simply have to realize this is the Internet, people aren't always nice, and whatever anyone says to you has absolutely no bearing on your real life.

You were once a mod, weren't you?---and you still do the happy birthday posts, which is a nice feature of the board (but also means you are involved in the board in an official capacity, especially when in that case you are speaking for the board)---and it seems pretty clear that you aren't just doing it for the ASFN friends you rub elbows with.

Here are my issues with your response:

You make it about me being upset about a "silly star"---funny you would focus on that because I never mentioned anything about a "star", because, quite frankly I don't know anything about stars on this board, what they are or even how they work.

This has nothing to do with stars. Nothing.

It has to do first and foremost in knowing that one of my all-time favorite posters here is struggling with how he is being treated on the board.

It has to do with your snarky comments and your propensity to kick posters in the cubes when they are down, which you did to me on several occasions.

It has to do with your perverse sense of humor---when you do a ha ha ha when someone else belittles a poster---it pours gasoline on the fire, as I said.

Yeah it's soooo funny that someone posted that dawg had wasted precious minutes of his life reading this thread. That's just hilarious, isn't it?

Boy I really should acquire a keener sense of humor so I can appreciate such hilarity.

Then you have the audacity to suggest that I must have difficulty with relationships in the real world because I am sensitive to internet harassments or denigrations.

I won't presume anything about what goes on in your real world relationships, but I can assure you of one thing, if you behave in person the way you do on this board in front of some of the "real life" people out there, then you are very likely going to wind up missing some teeth.

I am a Moderator. I mod the Movies and Entertainment board and the TV Shows board.

I am also a Super Moderator. I have mod rights on any board, but defer to the posted board moderators unless a clear action is required (banning a spammer, deleting spam posts/threads, spelling fixes, thread merges, etc).

Here are my issues with your response:

This has nothing to do with stars. Nothing.

Please show me where I mentioned anything about a star. I'd even invite one of your students to double check for you. I never mentioned a star.

It has to do first and foremost in knowing that one of my all-time favorite posters here is struggling with how he is being treated on the board.

The way Justin worded his response was funny. "I wasted time in my life reading this???" It is basically a paraphrase of "Can I have the last 2 hours of my life back?" after seeing a bad movie. I didn't take it as this huge mission to belittle another poster with a snarky sentence. I guess it is all about perspective.

If it hasn't happened in 42 years of being myself, I doubt anyone is going to clobber me anytime soon.
