to Ed B (he couldn't watch the game) the ferocity of the htting in this game. It was at a level I've rarely seen and certainly didn't expect today. Anyone else see it that way? that blast on Garcia at the goal line was almost inhuman and Scobey is lucky to be consious after that kick return leveling.

Wilson's hit was just ferocious.

He did kick the guy but damn that was pure shock and awe, I can't believe the dude got up.

There was alot of big hits, but there was NO hit like the one Wilson did....one of the best hits(it was legal too) I've ever seen.

A lot of good hitting in this game. The defense played a great game and pressured the QB a bunch of times and Pace and Johnson both had sacks. The offensive line made a lot of nice holes for Shipp to. After this game I don't see how Emmitt will ever be the starter again. Shipp was just outstanding today.

on the way home I was thinking that the 49ers are probably on the flight home thinking..who did we just play? It was a very hard hitting game - at least as far as cardinals hits are concerned.. Seemed the 49ers were being carted off of the field all day - a couple of defensive lineman, barlow went off injured on one play, obviously garcia was hurting, wilson send their tight ends helmet flying, etc... On our side of the ball - boldin and johnson hobbled off a couple of times - but the 49ers were taking a bulk of the big hits..

There defintely was a level of intensity out there that I hadn't seen in a Cards game in years. The defense played awesome ball today.

Again - if Shipp is demoted when Emmitt returns I will kill someone. Can't wait to see you all at halftime next week - it's gonna be a good one.

You are going to see that one again tonight on ESPN when they say you got "JACKED-UP"

Seeing that hit on TV doesn't do it justice....in person that was nasty! So was the hit on Scobey.

Portland Oregon these days.
The practices have been like that. Not at the beginning of the season, but lately. They're started to practice like it's a real game.

Wilson got robbed, by the way. That helmit-flying hit of his was legit - it was his forearm, not his helmit. It stopped them on third down, but the refs were so desperate to have the 9'ers win they did the penalty.

The 9'ers did a helmit to helmit, for real, later. It was never flagged.

Why are they JUST starting now, though? Why haven't we been practicing for real all year? That's one of the disturbing things, that it takes this coaching staff nearly half a season to figure these little things out. Wow.

Try this one on.

Almost every position-group was banged up earlier in the year. Depth was thin everywhere.

I don't think the coaches intentionally did this, but I think Mac and his staff, possibly by their "body language" could have unconsciously sent signals to the players to "lighten up and stay healthy" instead of practicing full tilt 24/7.

This despite the age-old axiom of "do unto others before they do unto you" (i.e. when 2 bodies collide, the one moving fastest and hardest tends to deliver the hit instead of being on the receiving end of it).

Again, I don't think the coaches said anything, but may have betrayed an attitude of "Cheez! God forbid another one of our key players should go down!"

I know, and I understand their concern, but it's like practicing karate with pulled punches...you can't do that completely, because if you get in a real fight, the possibility is there that you pull your punches.

best hitting game i can remember from the cards in a long time. they finally hung up their dresses.

barrett's hit on garthia was great. knocked the tutu right outta him.

wilson's hit was tremendous. seeing it in person was awesome. and i knew as soon as i saw the hit that it was legal, but we were screwed.

wilson's kick in the head shows me he just ain't maturing, and that's disturbing. when the radio guys after the game said, "hopefully it will be a learning experience" i thought to myself, how many damn learning experiences does the guy need? he needs to grow up. he's go the body of a man, now he's got to be one. before the kick, he started to step up today, the kick leaves me still shaking my head. . .

This game made we wonder why we weren't being this physical all season. I understand Jeff's comments, but we need to bring this attitude every week. The Pats beat the Rams in the Super Bowl by playing finesse teams like the STL and SF and smashing them in the mouth.

I knew it was going to be a different type of Cardinals game when D. Johnson got to Garcia the first time he dropped back.

Build on it.

was it just me...or was the flag on wilson late..I think the ref saw the aftermath of the helmet flying off and the way the guy hit the ground..and then paused before throwing the flag..it seemed very slow coming out...he seemed to have to think about it..it was like - I didnt really see a illegal hit - but it was so brutal that I need to throw the flag..

My feelings exactly. To show you my frame of mind, I thought they were flagging the guy for not having his chin strap on, which is a penalty!

Chicard I don't know if he had his chinstrap on or not, but I do know that he DIDN'T have his JOCKSTRAP on after that hit!. Wilson is right now mailing it to the league office--it's his misguided way of telling the league office that it was a legal hit and that when the Cardinals are finally playing kickazz football don't Phukk it up for them. Or maybe the Cardinals will hang it on the bulletin board as a reminder of "This is how we do it" --thanx B. McNight Or as Dexter Jackson said, "This is football, this is football!" WOOOOOOOO Sorry, I'm all jacked up again. I'm gonna have to watch tape again!
