Now is his time to shine. He wins today and he will get to be the backup another year. If he bombs out and loses we will see a new backup next year. I think we will see a lot of running and short passes today.

Hope he is a 2nd string QB that has always been a 1st string QB today. When was the last time Palmer didn't play a game?

I don't know, but Stanton is probably as good or better than the last 7 QBs "pre-Palmer."

And look where that got us. Just don't have much faith in a guy who hasn't played in years.

But hey, it'll make the game more interesting.

Arians basically brought Stanton in immediately after gaining employment here, I think it was his first real move here and Keim made it happen. He was our first non-Whiz QB in years...

Great job at game management and protecting the ball today. Didn't scramble or throw it away at times but just played a very sound game. Well worth the signing, Arians must be proud.

Played well considering the circumstances. But has much to improve on.

Missed some open receivers. Over threw a few really bad. Didn't get rid of the ball when being pressured. Starred down his primary receiver. Has to read the D better.

Made some good throws when needed. Did not throw it to the other team. Managed a good game overall.

Love Drew as our QB2, but he's still not on Palmer's level.

One thing I did like is Stanton is not afraid to step up in the pocket when the pressure is coming from the edge. He gets credit for avoiding sacks.

He got the rock to everybody, got smashed Bountygate style, no turnovers... I'm in love.

I must say that Stanton more than pays for himself in the last two weeks! Credit to the O line and our great wr's and Mr. Ellington. I'm officially a believer.

A great day for big Red!
