Getting rid of Boldin would be similar to dumping Larry Centers in 1999. It's like giving the team a heart amputation.

Apples and Oranges. Centers was only one of a few players with Heart of that team. Boldin is not the only heart of this team. We have way more heart and leadership on this team then we did on that 1998 team.

That's a bit of revisionist history really. That was a team that had Aeneas Williams, Pat Tillman, Ron McKinnon, Lomas Brown, Jamir Miller, Plummer, Frank Sanders and yes, even more quality characters. Now, that team didn't have near the TALENT, especially on the oline, that we have now, but it did have a lot of heart and leaders.

Maybe that team could've survived losing just Centers, Miller or Brown. But it sure couldn't handle losing all 3. And, maybe we could handle losing one of our main guys this year. But, why the hell find out IF we can when we don't really have to?

The team will make an offer to Boldin, not Fitz money but a lot of money. Boldin will accept because Q wants to be a cardinal more than his agent Screw R. would want otherwise. This team turned down Boldin trade offers when his value was a lot higher in my opinion and see no reason why they would let him leave for less now. Boldin will be a Cardinal and so will Dansby.

Yes, the Graves administration has been anything BUT devious.

But how is that being devious. The also said they werent going to sign any big free agents, we up and sign Edge. Doesnt make them liars just they dont tell you all that they are thinking. They are not devious but they also arent going to show their hands either on purpose either.

Whiz said they want to work out a long term deal with Boldin. That doesnt mean they wont trade him if a long term deal doesnt come about, his demands are to high, or Boldin doesnt even want to come back. Wiz saying they want to do a long term deals doesnt mean they wont trade him, its just the first step in a process.

Miller was not a heart of a team type guy. Tillman everyone liked but he was also a bit of a recluse and odd as was Plummer. Frank Sanders come on now, thats reaching more then Sanders. Good guys yes, heart of team types not a chance.

Q wants to be a Cardinal. We ahve heard or seen nothing but the opposite. Walking out on NFL Champ celebration, saying he will only play out his contract and never play for the team again, bash the coach and tell him to shut his mouth, bash the front office. No where have I seen a player that wants to be a Cardinal.

A player that wants to play football with his teammates and get another contract yes, but dont confuse that with wanting to be a Cardinal either. Boldin doesnt want to be a Cardinal, Boldin wants to get paid, period. That goes for all players. If they can go to a team they like and get paid, thats just bonus.

Also Boldin picked Drew as his agent for a reason, he is an extension of Boldin so to say screw Drew then you need to say screw Boldin as well its Boldin allowing his Agent to do his job, thus Boldin thinks his agent is all right as well as think his tactics are all right. What is funny is that we heard more from Boldin about his contract bad mouthing people then we did his mouthy agent.

Players come and go. Many of my favorites leave too soon. That's the NFL these days. I'll cheer for those players who are here on the team in 2009 and not worry about those who left.

If Q stays, good. If he leaves, good. Hopefully, we finally have a management who focuses on winning and makes the necessary difficult choices.

We all should have seen what happened at Training Camp with Q coming after seeing Rosenhaus on camera prior to the draft last year stating he hoped that the Cards would trade Boldin.

i have a question..why would we want an overpriced overplayed end of his career te gonzalez, for 2to3 years at 10 or so million? let him finish his hof career on someone else's dime..keep boldin if he wants to stay, otherwise trade him to a top 10 draft pick team for their 1 and a starter on defense.

Could someone please explain to me why the Cardinals would feel the need to throw a pile of money at Boldin this offseason?

He's under contract. He also has an incentive to play at a very high level for the next two seasons so when he's finally a free agent, he can get paid.

He'll hold out of all voluntary workouts of course. That's a small price to pay to avoid backing up the Brinks truck to his front door when we don't have to.

The Cardinals will make him an offer. It won't be anywhere near Fitz money, but it will be a very long contract so the frontloaded bonus will have a lot of zeroes. Then when he turns it down (he will), the Cardinals can shop him actively without too much crying from the fan base.

He'll either be wearing Cardinal red this season, or we'll have three or four extra draft choices, a resigned Dansby, and another good chance to go deep in the playoffs.

I want Boldin on this team, Boldin does not want to be on this team

meaning

Boldin will probably not be on this team

meaning

I will no longer care a rat's ass for Boldin, because I'm a Cardinal fan and not a Boldin fan if he is not wearing Cardinal red

meaning life goes on and hopefully Doucet becomes the player he should with all the promise he showed at LSU

that was easy LOL

True. I don't think that Rosenhaus is going to make reasonable demands. Quan is allready complaining/posturing too much for the org. to retain him.

What a shame. It could have gotten done for the betterment of all. But we have this j/a representing him. Pro sports are out of hand for us regulars.

The Cardinals need to be very careful with the precedent that they set here with Boldin. Can they really let a player bitch his way out? If they do trade him, they absolutely have to clean the clock of whoever their trading partner is.
