If Cooper is on a short leash, how does Massie keep his job?

Cooper constantly gets benched for a guy who couldn't make a CFL roster, and somehow Massie goes out there and plays worse than anyone every week and he never finds the bench.

If Arians is going to harp on accountability that should be for everyone, not just for one guy, right?

No, it's because watford and Larson are competent guards, we have no competent tackle backups. Don't tell me watford is, he cannot handle speed rushers as well as Massie.

I don't get the cooper love either, he was getting driven right back into Palmer 2 to 3 times a game. I understand why he has been benched, even though it is disappointing.

You and I are not watching the same games. Larsen has no business playing in the NFL. He may help the orphans and be the world's greatest guy but an NFL lineman he is not. How BA thinks he's better than Cooper is a mystery to me

It's quite possible BA and Keim know more than we do, out of 12 games they've been right 10 times.

My guess is the head of the backups.

I think we know BA wants guys who is with it mentally over a guy with superior talent who doesn't grasp it yet.

Whatever the case is, Massie isn't completely screwing up, and after watching what we had in previous years, we have enough to drop back and pass downfield crazy into leading the league. Of course Palmer bails out some of the bad protection, but we're doing good enough.

I hope and wish for better, and we should be on him, but we should have some perspective as well. Isn't it great that he's our biggest punching bag and yet we lead in scoring?

1st NFL-world problems... at this point.

Palmer was hit too many times today and its always the right side. Whether or not there is a better option at tackle is questionable. Watford played well, id give him a shot for a game at least. Cooper should definitely be playing. You know what you get from Larsen, mediocrity at best. Cooper? - Potential to have a great game.

I want to know what games you guys are watching where Massie is "not bad."

I guess you just look at the final score and figure if we won, everyone played OK? We'll revisit that logic when Massie whiffs on yet another blitz and Palmer takes a hit he doesn't get up from.

Two plays with a 3 man rush: Massie gives up a sack, gets called for holding.

On the DJ fumble play, he pulls into space and does nothing at all.

The guy had his worst game in a while. Maybe ever.

175 yds rushing and 370 through the air.................I'm guessing the Oline is playing pretty well and Massie must not be the total suckage some would suggest.

Plus BA and Goodwin have done pretty well since their arrival in Az. so I'm thinking they kinda know what they are doing.

Massie may have had a bad game, but overall he's played pretty well. Allowed 3 sacks total and only 5 total penalties going into this week.

I haven't seen anything from Massie that I wasn't seeing from Watford. and, if all things are equal, you go with the player who has more experience. BA said Watford was getting Palmer hit too much. That is the reason Massie is starting. If Watford isn't showing better in practice, why shake things up?

Cooper keeps losing his job because he can't stay healthy, and BA would rather have a guy who he can count on to start every week if the play is similar.

I do not think it's as much that Cooper cannot stay healthy as much as he cannot play hurt or sore like most guys do on a daily basis... coming out of college the word on him was that he can be soft, I think he lacks the mentality to override the pain guys have to endure in the NFL

Don't understand Cooper being benched for Larsen. Cooper is clearly the better player on all levels. Also don't understand how Watford wasn't the choise over Larsen as well.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good "gang up on this dude this week" rant.:mulli:

Yep, a lot of the OL is communication and making adjustments on the fly. Sitting on our couches at home, we have no idea what assignments each O-linemen has on a particular play. Its easy to pick 2 or 3 breakdowns and say that guy stinks when it may not even been his job for that play.

Now getting bullrushed and physically beaten is easy to see and the guy that happens to the most is Sendlein.

No matter how you put together the 2015 Arizona cardinal offensive line, it is light years above these lines. Remember where we came from to where we are now.
