On analyzing football in general, there is always a human factor that needs to be plugged in. Watch an old LA Rams vs Vikings playoff game where Alan Page was offside on a punt early in the game, giving the Rams a 1st down and subsequent score. He was later named the MVP of the game and the Vikes won. When you understand the dynamic involved, you can START to understand the human factors needed for analyzinf the game. 'Til then, the clue will probably elude you.

To the positive we have a much better chance to get to Super Bowl than most teams. It is on record that ten Super Bowls in a row have had a team playing with that team will have the chance to win first Super Bowl. That bears positive for us. Five of those teams lost that chance, five won that chance. That bears even for us. Our big problem is that owners may have erred in building our new stadium which is by technical a dome.

Domes are a bad factor for teams that live in them according to The Facts. Dome teams have appeared in 95 playoff games in NFL history. Dome home teams are 21-14, not a good number by average. Dome teams are 15-45 (.250) on a road in the postseason. In the entire history of NFL football, dome teams have won only 17 playoff games at home against teams that play outdoors.It says that dome teams will most likely lose, for only one dome team has ever won the Super Bowl, that being Saint Louis Rams. Only one other dome team has made it also, being the Atlanta Falcons.

I might be alone but maybe it would be statistically advantage to play just one more year in Sun Devil Stadium to better help out team win the biggest game. Perhaps the owners could come up with a equal seating plan that puts all new dome ticket holders in comparable seats back in Sun Devil for 2006.
