Folks, I can easily say that we have done our part as fans up to this point. What we have experienced and are currently experiencing this year is a disgrace. I think that during the final home game vs. the Rams, if the team is out of playoffs contention, it is time for some sort of fan protest. Something similar to the Millen Man March, or the walk out the Lions fans orchestrated. Something that will garner nationwide attention. Something needs to change. This team needs a serious kick to the head. There is no reason for it to continue. I'm not saying to quit going to games, or to even not renew tickets. That kind of stuff is counter productive since it all goes on behind the scenes and we want to keep going. i think we need to have a march on the great lawn that day, bring megaphones, have speeches, do whatever it takes to let the team know that this is horse ****, something to really make a point. We just want a playoffs run.

Kind of a dumb idea.

First of all, you all paid for the ticket, so it really wouldn't be saying much.
Second, this is the first year of a new regime.
Third, it's kind of funny that you use the Lions as an example. Those same people that did the Millen March are now jumping out of there seats with joy.

I am as down as any Card fan could be, but I will be in front of my TV come sunday and every Sunday for the following 7 weeks.

As Cardinal fans we always have 6 to 7 months to bitch about the team.

First year of a new regime....somehow the first year of the new regime always looks like the last and all the years in between. Maybe the Lions fans actually woke up the team. Instead, lets just keep our mouths shut and enjoy the march to 5 or 6 wins. Great idea. I'll take it a step further. I promise if the team doesn't make the playoffs, I will not renew my tickets next year for the first time in over a decade. At this stage in my life I just have many other things I can spend the money on. Bump up the next two on the waiting list.

WOW. You have a beautiful new stadium, new coaching staff, a team that has been more competitive than any Cardinal team in the last 5 years and only 1 game out of 1st place in the West.
And NOW you aren't going to renew you season tickets? Sheesh. Just seems like it something you should have done 10 years ago.

I'll actually keep the tix. I'm sure I could sell them for a lot of money next year since Dallas and the Giants are coming. Sorry man. No more excuses. I'm just sick of the same broken record, every year. I need something to change.

I hear ya. I'll step away from the ledge. That Tampa game just really messed me up. The team looked disinterested, lathargic, and confused. I can take losses, but not losses like that. With the NFC West so easily attainable, I just want these clowns to go out and grab it. They are so close, yet so far.

Don't sell 'em to opposing fans...Hell, I'll buy 'em from you (well, depending on the price). I'd love to not have to wonder week to week if I'm going to have a ticket to the game.

The backlash may begin this Sunday. We'll see how many empty seats + Lions jerseys there are. I was surprised at how many empty seats there were in the upper deck last home game.

Organized protest? Not for me.

This team without a doubt will win the NFC West next year. Why can I say this with confidence you ask? Because the Hawks are aging and not very good, the 9ers have some serious flaws which will take more than a year to remedy, and the Rams are the 31st best team in the NFL. I expected a rough year this year, be patient things are starting to look up for this team. The division is ours to lose next year as opposed to it being ours to win. I understand your frustration but patience grasshopper.

HORSE puckey!

I too, am sick of the "next year" stuff. The division is ours to lose THIS year, and we are losing it. I'm not interested in excuses about new coaches or injuries. We were in first, had 3 winnable games, a flubbed up all three. Now, I read in today's paper, Warner and Boldin questioning the work ethic and desire of the team. SAME old crap!@!

Turn it around NOW, Cardinals!

That fact that the Cards are playing this well despite the fact that they did not have the personel to play the 3-4 and implemented a whole new offesnse tells me they have turned it around. The only missing ingredient is confidence which will come with time. Anyone who expected the Cards to make the playoffs this year set themselves up for a huge letdown. I am not a next year type of person either but things take time. This team is vastly better than last year, and will only get better. I am starting to grow very impatient with some of the players on this team.

Warner is starting to irritate me big time. Cool you want to bitch and moan, try holding on to the freaking ball first. If Q wants to bitch cool, but don't sit out a pivitol game two days after you were wrestling in practice. Lead by example. Q is my fav. player in the NFL but I am starting to quickly come to the realization that he may not want to be here anymore. I just don't know with this team anymore. They have all the talent in the world, yet they can't seem to execute. Some of that is the coaching, but this team plays stupid football, is it youth/inexperience or something more I don't know time will tell.

If this team doesn't improve next year, that will speak volumes about where the players stand. Q and Warner can bitch all they want, but for 60 minutes it's those guys who are supposed to execute and to be honest Wanrer hasn't executed much at all since he got here. This team is on the cusp of either greatness, or one of the biggest disappointments in Cardinals history. I'm pulling for the former.

Again, I disagree. This team is vastly better than what we saw in 2003. They are not vastly better than what we had in 2006. The only difference from last year is that Johnson has turned out to be a better Center than Leckey and the FB leading Edge on runs improved that aspect of the offense, for a while at least.

Other than that they play pretty much like the 2006 team. Its just taken a little longer for the usual Cardinal weirdness to start costing them games this season.

I actually think the offense was better last year overall. This team is boring as hell to watch on offense. They had a couple decent games rushing but have regressed back to the low point of last year. edge is a non-factor, but now so are the receivers. The defense is dramatically improved though IMO.

I don't know about the defense being any better. They are still just as Schizo as last year, looking really good at times and then just falling apart.

Still committing too many penalties, still can't pressure the passer or cover the middle of the field and still let 3rd string RBs have career days while shutting down the leagues premier rushers. Pace appears to be playing better but that is canceled by Holt being worse than Griffith.

Hood has been the quiet man on D so that must mean he's doing an ok job but Wilson is not the same disruptive force he was last year so that's a wash as well.

Since its basically the same guys on D as last year and Clancy is still in charge I'm not surprised they're not much different this year.

It's just sad because the West is really down this year and it is a golden opportunity to finally make a move. Doesn't seem like were heading in that direction at all.

Disagree with the recievers call. Fitz is leading the league in receptions and Boldin missed some games and is still doing well. The running game better improve to the point where it's not a concern and it better not be a no-show in ANY game the rest of the year!

This team is vastly better than last year, and will only get better. I am starting to grow very impatient with some of the players on this team.

That first sentence is largely an illusion, I fear.

Last year we averaged: 19.6 points per game and 312.5 yards in offense.

After 8 games this year: 19.6 points and 319.2 yards of offense.

The parallels to last season are fairly eerie. We easily could've been 3-5 at the same point last year too, had we got the right bounce against the Rams (which we got this year against Seattle) and sealed the deal on Chicago by tackling Hester, whereas this year, we broke a punt return to beat Pittsburgh.

The second sentence I totally agree with. I'm frustrated with Boldin, Fitz, et. al. as well.

patience

I guess it is because I come from a baseball back ground, 100 years isn't too long to wait for a championship.. and there has only been 40 some Super Bowls. My job is to just not die before they win the big one. I call it incentive.

IF this team misses the playoffs ?

PLAYOFFS? .........Playoffs? I not sure if we can we another game......playoffs? Are you kidding me ?

My meltdown already happen with no yelling or screaming. I watched last week as "The same ol' Cardinals" took the field, and did the same ol' crapola.

So I went back to my roots as a Cardinals fan and broke out the standard procedure. As seen below:

Jan.-Feb.: Watch the playoffs and wish the Cardinals could make it there

March: Read about Free Agency, and listen to the annuall Graves speech about how we don't need a top of the line free agent and we are going to get mid-level guys to fill in spots. Translated as: Eventhough this team annually sucks eggs, we are not going to do what it takes to improve it.

April: Watch front office screw up yet another draft for the 50th year in a row.

May: Listen to the annuall we are waiting for June 1st cuts speech.

June: Get excited for camp, and fill yourself with false hope since you are so desparate to enjoy just one Cardinals football season regardless of the fact you know deep inside they suck.

July: Listen to the new coach, and new system say how things are comming together, and about the "talent" level this squad has.

August: Waiting for the annual "The Cardinals are going to turn the corner this year" from the sports writers. And the standard Michael Bidwill "This is not your same ol' Cardinals" speech.

September: Watch the first four games. Usually come out 2-2 with 2 miraculous loses that defy logic, physics, and could not be better written in Hollywood.

October: Watch the team go about 1-3 with one or two huge blowout losses that demoralizes the team in a whole.

November: Watch the team go 0-4 and pack it in for the season by week eight, leaving the fans to talk about next year, and new players in free agency (that the team won't sign anyway), and the draft class (that the front office will screw up anyway)

Decemeber: Watch the team go 3-1 to ensure we never get a good draft spot and to give a little hope towards next season, cause you have to have hope in order to smash it into tiny, isty, bitsy pieces the following October.

Then repeat.

A classic calendar. The only thing missing is the part of free agency where they use up the cap by front loading the bonus's.
