Of all the possibilities taking Murray & trading Peterson would end any chance for this team to be relevant for years. Look at how hard it’s been for the Cards to get a CB to play opposite Peterson. Imagine them trying to replace him. This combination of actions would take the Cards from potentially a long term top defense to mediocrity on both sides of the ball. It would be time to send Keim packing but MB wouldn’t figure that out until he sees the disaster unfold. By then you could put MB right up there with Dollar Bill among the most incompetent owners ever.

Rebuilding mode, we wont compete for the superbowl, and the great Peterson is showing too much prima donna attitude, he is 29, perfect time to trade him
The Cardinals are still there for us even without a hall of fame cb
Its not writting anywhere we wont be a better team then the previous year

Neither of which will happen!

We are NOT drafting Murray at #1 or trading Pat P.

We may however get cute & try to grab Murray mid / late 1st round & trade Rosen if Kyler is still in the board.

Agreed.

Glad KK said it's not happening.

Successful franchises don’t trade away the best player at his position in his prime and draft QBs in the first round in consecutive seasons.

Either of these events occurring would be an indicator of dysfunction within the front office. If both were to happen, I’m afraid we’d become the new Cleveland Browns of the NFL.

Agreed, Harry. Both of these would be a sign we either have no interest in winning, or have no idea how to win.

Front office has to talk every possible trade with other teams even if they have no intention of pursuing it. That's just the way the business has to unfold nowadays. So if Peterson caught wind of this, even if the intent was not to truly trade him, he would be upset. Most players don't want to see how sausage is made.

I agree, it's been very hard to find that #2 corner, possibly this year if RA plays like he did 2 yrs ago during the Falcons SB run? Now when there's hope at least with a potential #2 CB, our #1 is rumored to be traded, wow, can we catch a damn break? I hope it isn't true, PP didn't show up for the VMC day 1 & it's been said he took all his cardinal stuff down from his social media pages. KK said yesterday that he isn't gonna be traded so we shall see?

I would love to trade Peterson but that's not a thing so this entire post is pointless.

Pat p obviously doesnt want to be here, so why not get compensation why his value is still high.

If he heard that they tried to shop him and he's pissed, how does that add up to not wanting to be here?

If he had a verbal deal to redo his deal and they've reneged, how does that make him a bad guy?

(I remember how the FO screwed up the relationship with the second best wideout in AZ Cardinals history )

That is just your opinion and I totally disagree.

If Peterson won't show up for camp and is generally pissed at the organization, do you really think he is still going to perform at his top level - or help the rest of the defense play up to theirs if he is a negative force in the locker room?

There are times when relationships are no longer repairable, and you have to cut your losses.

There is nothing that suggests the relationship is irreparable

Really?

You think it is a good sign he takes off anything that identifies him with the organization from social media, then participates in a lets bash the cardinals convo with former teamates?

This after 5 months ago demanding a trade than publicly claiming everything was great again. He tried to repair it - but it didn't take.

It's over whether you want to admit it or not.

We don't know the whole story yet. Yes, you're right, if PP21 is demanding a trade either after changing his mind from last year, or his relationship has soured because of some reason outside of the organization or outlier reason, I guess we have to.

But if we were shopping him during the offseason, and that's why he's mad? We're idiots for shopping him in the first place.

You don’t even know why he’s frustrated and you’re assuming it’s over. It could end up that way, but early returns suggest that that’s not the case.

There are no tea leaves that can be read that say it is either repairable or unrepairable....
Sourced information that there’s no trade demand and Kliff saying he’s not going anywhere.

Doesn’t sound like a departure is imminent.

100%

But doesn’t mean the relationship is repairable either.

They are in rebuild mode after a 3 win season. ANYTHING can happen with the right offers this draft. A lot of areas can be fixed and nailed down for the future including CB.

You yourself Harry have stated this is the draft to ACT. Now your wafting if they actually do become proactive in the first three rounds.

This has got to be the dumbest post EVER on any message board
You'd love to trade Peterson .... Wow
Other than Chandler Jones he's the only guy any team fears.
DJ and his 53 yards a game is not relevant and PP has only shut down every WR he's ever faced one on one....your dumb coach, Wilks, put him in zone last year and he still balled out. He was a tackling machine....for a CB he put his head in there where 99% wouldn't.
yea you want to trade him....send him to LA we'll give you a 3rd round pick seeing you don't want him.

It’s like being in a relationship can’t make someone love you. He’s 29 and doesn’t know if he wants to stick around for a rebuild.

Guys on here bitch and complain about players all the time about not caring enough and being about money. The second one of OUR guys says hey I want to go somewhere and win he’s a cry baby
