Don't quote my post; I have us taking WILB, SILB, and NT.
What world are you living in? The Cards needed a tackle, so they drafted Levi Brown. In the next round they needed a NT to facilitate the change to a 3-4. They moved up and drafted Alan Branch. A year later, the Cards needed a cornerback, because there was no one there. Lo and behold, they drafted Dominique Rogers-Cromartie. A round later, they drafted a defensive end knowing that Antonio Smith was going to price himself off the team, and there was no one behind him. A year after that, we don't have a starting running back, and we draft Beanie Wells. If Beanie's not there, is there any idea that we won't be drafting Donald Brown? And in the second round, we take an OLB, right when we see that our OLB corps is all getting ready to apply for Medicare.
The Cards may take the PBA regardless of position after the first two rounds (although it certainly looks now like Early Doucet was a need pick), but to say that need doesn't color their evaluations of talent through the process is to deny the reality of how the Cards have drafted.
