the bird is ferocious! the bird will peck you to death! it will chirp and fly and build its nest in the end zone. the cardinal is one of the few birds who do not fly south for the winter. all should fear the mighty bird...

All I know is I really think things are different this year(god knows how many times I have said that).

We have a different OC, who is a perfectionist, and has a big attention to detail... Somthing we have needed for a long time...


We got a QB, who isnt going to set the world on fire but he will bring vet leadership and if a guy gets open he'll get them the ball... With less turnovers!!! Huge upgrade there....


We got a true FB and freakin Emmitt Smith to run behind our now veteran Oline...

Wr's are very young, will probably struggle alot, but are also very talented and should all be pumped to earn a top spot since no spots are locked up...

On defence, we upgraded alittle. We needed more but part of their problem was lack of experience. Another year should improve them alittle, pluss the addition of another solid DE, a SPEEDY ballhawk at FS, and a healthy Starks. The defence wont be a top 10, but if the offence can hold up its own, maybe the defence can overachieve...

If things click well, this team could be very solid and win some games...

I retire next year (Yahoo!!) from the military 21 yrs total. I got off the ship (USS Lasalle 6th FLT Flagship) last year and am unwinding here at Sigonella. The only thing in life better then the Navy and my family is watching Cardinal football. Once you catch the Redbird fever you never get rid of it. Dam you gota love it! I do!!!!!!!

The REAL question is, will we be COMPETITIVE in our division?

I'm not afraid of SF-Sea-StL, I think the NFC west is down overall. I will feel much better about our chances if Marcell Shipp, and Josh McCown are starting by game 4, that would mean that they would have beaten out two veterans with track records.

Anything's possible.
