If you could have any 1 free agent who would it be?

After looking over the list, Ilike several of them like Suggs, Haynesworth etc but if you could only get 1 at a decent price who would it be?

My pick? Julius Pepper. Has the size and strength that is perfect for a 3-4 DE. 6'7 290 pounds can be a force in the pass and the rush

Imagine Dockett, Watson, Peppers

With a top pick at a LB with speed and Laboy changing up on the pass rush from the LB spot. Keeping Dansby if a reasonable contract. With DRC/Hood shutting things down in the secondary. Thats one scary defense.

Thats my nightmare scenerio lol

imagine DRC, Hood, and maybe a cornerback that could move hood to the nickle DB. our defense would be unreal with another year for Rolle to develop at FS. and if we have tony g as our TE, who do you cover?

Corner would be a pure luxury pick at this point. With DRC attaining shut down corner status, and Hood being an above average #2, no need to invest in corner.

I would invest on Haynesworth if I were giving out the big contract. He is extremely disruptive and at a position where we could use it.

Peppers is going to want 4-3 DE money. He is, and always has been, a 4-3 DE.

I think.

Hood as nickel with a new CB would be perfecto!

Money no object - Haynesworth - not even an arguement.

Realistic I hope - Suggs

If we dont sign any top teir types - OG - Mike Goff.

Disagree. A really good Nickel without a doubt but Hood needs to stay on the edge and not the slot. Hood needs the sideline as an extra defender, to much space as a slot defender.

Not even a question. Suggs.

Haynesworth would be a bad idea to give long term money too. Don't need Ashmouga at this point. Peppers would demand too much and disappears every other year.

After watching the first 6 games and now what we are doing again with a pass rush (not to mention how great the Steelers look with multiple stud LBs) I think stacking up on LB's is the way to go.

Makes everyones job easier.

Second would be Jordan Gross or Matt Birk.

Absolutly no question about it, I want Nnamdi Asomugha. No one was even throwing the ball close to him. Imagine Asomugha and DRC on the same field. A great secondary will help the front 7.

Matt Birk, if he can be had at a reasonable price.

Asomugha would be huge too, but I doubt we will be able to have a real shot at him.

I'd prefer however that the Cards focus on keeping Dansby and Warner and making Boldin/Adub happy than worry about high priced free agents. Attitude and chemistry beat talent any day of the week these days.

You can have the best CB's in the world but no cb can cover longer than 5 seconds every snap. Need front seven. If we didnt have DRC I would thinkabout CB but since we do limit the pass to less than 5 seconds by getting a massive pass rush.

Haynesworth and Suggs will never happen IMO. I just dont see our team spending that type of $. I would love to add a guy like Bart Scott, who can be had fairly cheap for what he produces IMO.
