Buckybird, your day 1 draft keeps the Cards where they have been for the whole time here in AZ--without a decent OL. Nobody here or drafted in your plan would be a starter on a team with a decent OL (maybe there's one, but I'd like to see proof). Corey Hilliard is ranked about 20th on most prospect lists, and isn't even listed on the Big Red Sheet list. "Isn't overly athletic...Lacks quickness and great mobility...Struggles in space...Has trouble with speed off the edge,..His balance is pretty shaky and he will lunge at times...Can be overaggressive...Won't be able to play left tackle at the pro level."--Draft Countdown.
What makes you think that Peterson, with no NFL trials, is a better bet to do well than Edge? When will we learn that a good back with a good-to-great OL wins out over a great back with a mediocre-to-lousy OL? Why can't the Cards, for a change, be the ones with a great OL? Then Shipp would average 5 yards a carry, and JJ could run 8 yards and slide.
