good god seattle is great, wilson is dominant, anything can happen in the nfl but it sure looks like the seahawks are gonna win it all,

why do they have to be in our division?! :bang:
we are gonna have to field some incredible team through the draft and free agency to even compete with these guys

and they are a young team..............geez....every team in the nfc west is screwed,

at least they'll be resting their starters when we play them in a few weeks but they still might beat us
its gonna be a long decade :thud:

I knew before the season started that they were going to win the Superbowl barring injuries.

The NFC goes through Seattle and should for some time.

Seattle have to play away from Seattle if they get to the superbowl. They can be beat away from Seattle.

At some point much of their defensive backfield will be banned from the league.

It won't last for long. Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and the rest of their young guys will all be looking for a big pay day within the next couple of years.

they already extended Kam .... Sherman will come this year, Wilson next

Guys like Rice will drop off the books, Miller will be cut or extended to minimize his cap hit, etc

Just need to continue to draft well

Not a bad cap situation at all and they've been planning for the next few years

yup, nobody is getting home field out of the nfc west for years to come except for the seahawks
and playing in seattle translates to lots of nfc championships, barring injury as you said

Salary cap going up and Paul Allen ain't afraid to spend. The Seahawks aren't going anywhere for a long time.

shhh...I'm going to give you a team that can beat them in the playoffs. The Saints because of Bree's quick release because you cannot block those guys for long but the Saints can beat them. The Saints are quietly doing their thing as a whole :)

You did see they blew the doors off the Saints, right? The Saints are an average team away from home and they showed it last night. Brees, quick release and all, was held to 147 yards, 1TD, and a fumble that went for a TD. Seattle is scary good. However, Tennessee and Tampa nearly beat them at home so there's not completely unbeatable.

What do expect our team to do in this game?

After watching NO get blown out last night I believe we are in for a rough game. I just hope we can keep it close and put up a fight.

I think if (and that is a big if) we can control the closk they can be beaten. It will come down to our O line protecting Palmer and opening running lanes for our RB's. Seattle can be run on and if we do that we keep their offense off the field.

No matter how you look at it the Seahags have been playing some very good football. That said all it takes is one bad game in the playoffs and your team is now home for the rest of the playoffs. We have seen more than enough teams run great regular season records only to bow out early once the playoffs start.

I am not saying this will happen to the Seahags however it is not beyond the realm of possibilities.

Seahawks were dominant and they ARE good. But also factor in that New Orleans does not travel well. They did lose at the NY Jets for example. When Drew Brees struggles, they are very average.

Seattle has done a good job of winning their close games, {see Tampa Bay and at Houston and Carolina.}

The NFC West is going to be dominant for awhile IMO.

Seattle and San Francisco show how important it is to be stout up front and to have outstanding safety play. The Cardinals have a ways to go in both areas to be truly competitive in the NFC West IMO.

The Saints are God-awful on the West Coast. In the last 4 seasons, they've beaten the Niners at Candlestick (2010) and the Raiders in Oakland (2012). Other than that, they've been thrashed by the Max Hall Cardinals, the Rams, the 7-9 Seahawks, and the 2013 Seahawks.

They suck outside their little comfort zone.

Atlanta was on a tear whipping almost everyone, then the playoffs came.

I'll go on record that The Hags make it to the SB, only to me dismantled by the Patriots or the Broncos.

We also are free to hope they get the same officiating crew from their Steelers SB. :p

Hope and pray all we want but the Seahawks and 9ers are quality teams and we don't match up well against them. Our Dline can compete but our Oline is simply gawd awful.

Things can change quickly in the NFL so there is hope but at this point we don't stand much of a chance against either team.

Also my bad, the Rams aren't by any means a weak team. Hopefully Shane is correct that Bradford is a mirage and Fisher continues to believe in him, other than QB they have a very good team as well.

After watching Houston and Tampa almost beat them I think we can beat them. All we have to do is not turn the ball over and the NFC goes through us.

That's a tall order. We've only had 1 game this year without a Palmover (against the powerhouse Jags). We've had 3 games with only 1 turnover and the remainder have been 2+ turnover games. It's amazing we're sitting where we are with that kind of TO ratio.
