I'm proud that she is no longer doing drugs. What Stevie is asking for is silly though.

So, if you have someone creating a movie about you, would you want (and fans deserve) someone who lived the part of Stevie, or a goodie goodie who wouldn't know the first thing about drugs?

It probably has a lot more to do with the ego of a "serious" artist of integrity being offended that some goofy teen star would be playing them in a movie. I agree with Stevie that we need a real actress here. This would be like Horshack from Welcome Back Kotter playing Frank Sinatra back in the day.

I don't think so. I do think she's being a hypocrite for passing judgment (and thereby saying she doesn't want LL playing the part).

It's just like a recovering alcoholic to call another alcoholic (not yet in recovery) a loser drunk. I think that's hypocritical. An alcoholic telling another alcoholic they need to quit drinking is a different story.
