I did really want to know about the accoustic part of it. I am pretty sure that back in the day I did like it.

Jason very, very, good choice - they released a new record last year with Sidewinder. "Anytime Now" it's quite good but I'm very biased... I'll stick with my answer: no, I don't think the acoustic version is better. Some of the allure for me of the 80's music is the way they were produced and mixed.
It's still pretty good, though.
Fair enough. Did they have an even bigger hit single? Wasn't there a band around the same time called Hooters?
