Maybe it's only me, but it has sort of an Abbaa sound, which is a good thing in my book.

I never heard the song or group before.
It was an international hit in the early ‘80s but I never heard it in the U.S.

I discovered this song down in Mexico at a Club Med of all places.

I get your ABBA reference. It has a happy vibe to it

Good cover by Midland. Original is the best but they hold true to the original.

Yep, I love Midland so I'm not surprised they did a solid cover of this Jimmy Webb classic but Glen Campbell's version is better.

I can't tell you how many times over the past 30 years I've been surprised to find Shane was still alive. I guess that won't happen again. Anyway, like just about every music fan, loved his voice, his delivery and his songs, RIP Shane.
