That would have been a phenomenal concert to attend
Absolutely. I'm wondering how I missed it.

It was insane. General admission made it somewhat chaotic but it was a great experienceI'm glad for you. It must have been a great experience.
Wow that really takes me back. Although they were a few years older by this time I haven't seen those two since a Hollywood Palace appearance in the mid-60's. I heard later on that he wrote some country songs but the only one I remember was Delta Dawn.If Elvis had a little brother it would be Larry Collins

From what I’ve heard they were really gaining momentum in the late 50’s. Lorre was engaged to Ricky Nelson but ran off with another man to get married when she was 16. That broke up the Collins Kids duo until her marriage ended. Larry got back with his big sister and they began to tour again but by then the music scene had shifted dramatically.Wow that really takes me back. I absolutely loved this song when I was a kid. Not sure why. Strong message, but I was too young to consider that.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
Phil Collins - Another Day in Paradise
I absolutely loved this song when I was a kid. Not sure why. Strong message, but I was too young to consider that.
Phil Collins did some songs that delivered a strong message. I like his music a lot.
IMO, Bruce Springsteen's "The Ghost of Tom Joad" had a similar overtone.
I remember my dad being a big fan of the Police back when I was young and then Phil Collins sort of fell out mind for me as a teenager until I became a dad. My daughter's favorite movie as a toddler was Disney's Tarzan, which Phil Collins composed the score for. I'm surprised it wasn't more popular like Elton John's work on the Lion King almost a decade earlier. Ever since then Phil Collins has been my favorite calming yet nostalgic artist to listen to.
For me, the one I appreciate so much more now than back when is Phil Collins adjacent. I've become quite fond of Mike and the Mechanics. I know The Living Years was a huge hit but for personal reasons the story did not work for me and as a result I tended to ignore his later songs. The past 20 years though I've revisited his catalog and found a lot of songs that I love.I've gone back to a lot of singers I didn't fully appreciate the first time around, Phil Collins is one of them.
I love Simon and Garfunkel and this is a great song.@Cardsmasochist - your cartoon brought this to mind
