Even with the dropped passes that Chris Collinswoth said it was the Dallas D giving pressure.

I've been an advocate of AE...but honestly he needs to go.

The fact that Stanton isn't even playing today means his spot is secure. Gabbert is just auditioning to determine whether they keep 2 or 3 qb

IMO Stanton is under appreciated on this forum. He has his flaws but he also has won more games than lost as a starter for the Cards. Gabbert had a very good debut as a Card but it's just a half of FB during the PS so far too early too make any solid judgements now.

Watch yourself, pump your brakes, slow your roll - if this Palmers last year - Stantons knowledge of the system matters.

Stanton sucks and it will show moving forward..

Whoa wrong year, but I get you. One preseason game against backups doesn't make him a starter. Stanton has won us hard games, can't forget what he's done for us. It would be a good idea to have all 3, so Gabbert can learn the system and actually have an OC for two years in a row. Gabbert could be great next year, but for right now, let's not fool with a great couple of guys in the system.

Gabbert did well tonight but for me it comes down to dancing and let's face it, this is tough to beat:

I will say this, Gabbert has a crazy-fast release and had tons of zip on the ball. Skills are there, for sure, now if the mental game is there...

I say Stanton is our backup because he has proven he can win and it does not matter how... but you keep Gabbert and allow his mental process to mature because he does have tools which actually might allow him to be a backup for us at the very least

Hwoa whoa slow your roll.. Stanton has been here how long and every available qb that has entered the Cardinal galaxy gets shot down why? "Because he doesn't know the system".

Looks like Mr Gabbert has a foot in the door....

Why cut Stanton? We need 3 QB's, and no reason for the cap space. While Stanton has looked horrible much of the time, he has won his share of games for us. I feel very good about our backup situation with both Stanton and Gabbert. No need to choose between them.

Let's see Gabbert do something other than ripping up 2nd stringers & some 3rd teamers before announcing he's anything more than average yet!

Haven't you guys learned from preseason history before?

I was surprised at how poised and accurate he was as the pocket collapsed. I have to admit that as I watched all I could think about was the Stanton typical throw sailing three feet over the receiver's head.
