IMO: Whisenhunt's "Impact Player" statement means immediate impact (No QB)

He was guaranteed with playing time incentives to make $8 million this year. Why do you assume that the bonuses have to do with Pro Bowl and Super Bowl appearances? Do you have any evidence to that effect?

The other question is why Marc Bulger would do the Arizona Cardinals a favor by accepting less money. He'll have starting opportunities elsewhere, even if he (reportedly) wants to play here. He knows that the Cards don't have a backup plan if Bulger doesn't decide to come; why would he take less than Derek Anderson to do so?

How bout we just make a wager that if the Cards sign Bulger his contract in base salary will not be 10 million? You can't include incentives as "guaranteed" money. The only reason DA's incentives became somewhat easy to attain is because douche Leinart went crying to the media and couldn't score any points in pre season. When Graves inked DA to that contract he was under the impression Matty was the man.

Why just base salary? Isn't that putting your finger on the scales? How about this: If Bulger signs with the Arizona Cardinals, his total first year compensation (Salary + signing bonus) equals or exceeds $10 million.

Graves inked DA to a contract where if he becomes the starting quarterback, he'd be paid like one. DA became the starting quarterback for 10 games, and was paid as so. The sneering editoralizing isn't appreciated.

Ok. Deal. I'll Bet you that if we sign him and he starts the season as #1 he wont see 10 million on the year. Avatar? More?
