Back on the original topic... do we release Kolb anyways? Nah, Skelton needs a backup.

However, the bottom line IMO is that IF Peyton gets cut, and IF Peyton can be cleared to play, he will be a Cardinal. If you don't think Fitz has had this conversation with him already, you are higher than Rob Lowe when he tweeted about Peyton retiring.

Also, Kolb's bonus isn't due until March 17th, the Indy decision on Peyton will have been finalized by then.

I must be "high" because I don't think Fitz is that duplicitous and, further, there is nothing to talk about, yet.

LOL Fitz knows EVERYONE is recruting guys to his camps all the time. I guarandamntee he has sent him a text or hello. Maybe not pretaining to AZ but "checking in"

Fitz and the advocate he is for this franchise, Wiz, and Az is our biggest trump card in this whole deal.

Without something concrete in support your "guarantee" and 2-bucks will buy you a cup of coffee. ;)

Yeah this why Dallas makes no sense to me. Romo had a good year last year. If PM does go there I woul take Romo in a second.
Romo always has statistically good years, but blows it in the clutch moments. The only cowboys "fans" I know say they have jumped ship "temporarily" as long as it's Romo taking snaps

Think I'll see what Papa Fitzgerald and Bro Marcus are tweeting. That would pour a little gas on this, lol.

Here it is, folks:

Someone tweeted Marcus:

"Peyton and Larry Fitzgerald on the same team = unstoppable"

Marcus tweeted back:

"Oh we are working towards making that one happen"

Pass the mustard, and put a Manning burger on the fire.

NOTE: I tried to put a Kolb burger on the grill and missed it. Then I bent down to pick the Kolb burger up, hit my head on the grill and now I am concussed.

The Skelton burger was awful till the last bite, which was great, and satisfied my hunger. Of course the cheese fell off after putting a slice on the burger two times in a row, but it all got sorted out.

LMAO - I actually laughed out loud. Very nice!

He has been posting that stuff for over a week.

Again, Kolb's future not looking so good, with or without Manning

Hasn't Marcus been a lighting rod with these sort of statements in the past regarding other issues?

I almost feel like he and Fitz Sr. do a disservice to Larry because of how openly opinionated they can be, while Larry is generally reserved.

Personally, I don't use Marcus as a reference for Cardinals inside information and largely ignore daddy Fitz because of their perceived agenda.

LaCanfora on NFLN last night said, talking to people throughout the NFL that the two teams he has heard most mentioned for Manning are the Seahawks and Cardinals. Miami is most likely going to try and land Flynn. He said really the main question with the Cards is if they would be willing to pay the money needed to sign him. Here's an excerpt from the article NFLN has on Manning:

We've reported in the past that other general managers and executives identified Arizona and Seattle as places that Manning would be interested in. Both teams could obviously use an upgrade at the quarterback position, and both have rising young defenses, along with run games that made strides this season. The Cardinals have a game-breaking receiver in Larry Fitzgerald, and Sidney Rice can be a weapon in Seattle if he can just stay healthy. Both teams are in a division that has traditionally been weak (though the rise of the Niners changes that a bit). And just like Peyton's current home, neither city has an overwhelming media presence. The Seahawks have been a heavy spending team. The Cards? Well, not so much. Getting out of Kevin Kolb's contract wouldn't be a problem, but would the Bidwills be willing to step up for No. 18? It's worth noting that Manning has gotten to know Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt at Pro Bowls over the years and they share a mutual admiration.

Would the Tennessee Titans be a dark horse in this derby?

A team on the verge of the playoffs, good receivers, solid offensive tackles, strong defense, the chance to get it round the Colts (if he's pissed off at them), and the chance to go back to Tennessee.

For the Titans' part Hasselbeck has had a nice career but Peyton would put them a lot closer to the Championship and you could say Jake Locker needed more than a year to sit and develop.

Not that I think it will come to pass but I've yet to hear them mentioned. As likely as anyone else I reckon.

Marcus is the one actually one of the first ones to say braylon edwards was talking to the cardinals the time it happened. So I'm pretty sure he has some insight.

Colin Coherd always gives AZ props:

He also makes an indisputable (in my opinion) case that there's no way Manning stays in Indy.

Well duh ;)

Anyone who didn't see that coming the moment the Polians where fired at the latest simply wasn't thinking.

I would be a nice dream, but IMO the odds are better that Peyton will never play again

At his age certainly true, if he can't make it back by September.
