The usual statistical masturbation, but a pretty good article. He likes the Marcus Banks and Jumaine Jones signings a lot. He makes a good point that Jones for 1/24 the price of Tim Thomas is pretty solid, considering they are essentially the same player.

Classic journalese. For example, he notes Phoenix was one of the best defensive teams in the NBA with Kurt Thomas. Then he went out and the Suns were one of the worst defensive teams.

But, wait a minute, he just checked and discovered KT was only 6-foot-9, so the Suns' defense should be questioned either way. You can't be a good defensive team when your tallest guy is 6-9.

IMHO, the Suns have a challenging November, but if they start well they should be a contender for best record.
