THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
Days like today really really make me question my faith in this organization. Am I the only one who is gonna miss these guys? Rolle was so dangerous and versatile...worth 12 mil? No

Dansby played with broken shoulders, great guy on and off the field

Boldin, You can NOT replace that heart. He is a mans man. Im gonna miss him alot.

Not sure why but Ive just got this pit in my stomach that reminds me of 1999 after we dismantled the team ...or even after Jake, Boston, Rice left...

Whiz I trust you... Now dont let us down. This is more than just a game to alot of us here.

The Cardinals had Rolle, Boldin, and Dansby before they had Coach.
There was a lot of bad football played by this team while they were on the roster.
Things under Whis have improved, and to use "dramatically" would be an understatement.

He's earned the benefit of the doubt in all cases.

Whiz will have a big hand in forming this team. With his extension in place it's on him to find the right pieces to make it work. Replacing RG's guys with guys he has input on. Hopefully no more Al Johnsons or Holts in FA. 6 picks in the first 4 rounds to work with.

I hear you man. Our only real success ever and now we lose Warner, Berry, Okeafor, Boldin, Dansby and Rolle in one off season. Every one of them key ingredients in our NFC Championship.

Tough, real tough but we'll live. But unlike some I'm not real optimistic about Whisenhunt, an offensive guy's ability to rebuild a defense.

Add the true wildcard of Matty leading this team, and man o man do we have serious cause of concern... This smells like the pre-Whiz days to me. It will take one gigantic effort on the part of Whiz and Graves to somehow keep this team from falling back into the depths of darkness from which the Cards have called home for decades. Uggghhh....

Give me a break, these guy ALL had 1 thing in common, they wanted more then they are worth. There is NO better year for all this to happen now that kurt is gone. We get a year to evaluate matt with low expectations, a year to build last years and this years rookies.

This is a very good point. We lost a bunch of guys who were part of losing football under Dennis Green. That includes Warner and Berry. The difference in our W/L column came with Whiz and Whiz alone, not with the talent as almost all his starters the last two years were on the team before he got here.

Bash them all you want but they were still veteran top line players. Guys so good that they didn't last one day in free agency. I don't care how good you are and Whisenhunt is good you are going to have a tough time replacing 5 starters plus a key rotation player in one season.

You have to take into account that this is a very weak FA class so Dansby is the #1 FA LB and Rolle is the best S available, but imagine guys like Merriman, Ryans, Carlos Rogers, Marcus McNeill, etc all hitting the market. Rolle and Dansby hit the market at the perfect time. Will it be tough to replace them, yes because of a weak FA class but they did not want to be here or they would have taken the more than fair contracts the Cardinals offered them. The draft becomes huge for us now.

I agree they hit the market at the right time but every year we hear that there's no way they'll get that and then guys sign for even more.

We could still have those guys and have the draft to build. But I think they all wanted out no matter what. Which goes back to what I said in another thread that something is amiss at Warner and Hardy.

Of course, a large part of it has to do with getting young, hungry players.
But he brought competition to all positions.
He brought swagger and an identity of flexibility and winning.
The NFL is full of the world's best football players.
Some more will end up wearing Cardinal red.

I will very much miss, and very much appreciate the work and the sacrifices these players made and wish them nothing but luck.

But I believe in Whis. For once, a Cardinal coach has repaid that belief.

If the Cards offered similar contracts to both and they still walked, that would seem to be the case. And the relationship with Boldin was pretty sour in recent times.

And what do you think that is Duck?

My guess is Mr B still has a say & RG is the GM. Put that combination together & thats smells like week old trash.

Now I see why Warner retired. I think he saw this coming. Especially how they were handling Q. Both Warner and Fitz said they would give 1 mill a year to Boldin. If the Cards offered 6 and then you add the 2 more....8 million a year for 4 years is 32!! We would have kept him and maybe Warner would have stayed. I feel Warner saw the cracks in the armor and decided to bolt while he could. Now there are rumors(Very slim rumors) about him coming out of retirement to play for the Rams. People are asking why? Because the Rams might now be better than us. We have lost key players on an already bad defense. And Now lose a ALL pro reciever for basically a 3rd round pick. The Cardinals will never change. And history repeats itself. It is 98 all over again.

Ridiculous.

The Cards have a winning record without Q. A VERY winning record.

The Rams better than the Cards??

Please. You should delete this post.

Once again, one day of free agency and the crowd goes wild....
