The George Pickens trade speculation continues to heat up! From not being among the players to welcome DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers to posting a picture of himself next to Las Vegas Raiders minority owner and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, many believe Pickens is on his way out of the Steel City—including the ever-reliable insider Gerry Dulac.
Dulac, during his most recent Wednesday Steelers chat, was asked how soon to expect Pickens to be traded—and he dropped a bombshell when he replied: "2025."
Other Pickens-related questions Dulac answered revolved around a potential holdout and even the trade compensation, which is hovering around a second-round draft pick. But the Steel City would be turned upside down if the Pittsburgh Steelers' star WR were traded as soon as this year.
Trading away their diva-esque receiver would leave the Steelers in a similar position as 2024—without a WR2. However, with the 2025 NFL Draft just around the corner and several big-name free-agent WRs like Amari Cooper and Stefon Diggs on the market, don't be shocked if Pickens is traded sooner rather than later.
