how much would an Ipod sat you back over there??

was thinking about getting one but they are £209.00 in England for a 20 gig

I just got a 60 GB music/pictures for around $500 I want to say. I don't know the exact price since it was a present.

But I saw just plain 40 GB iPods at Costco for around $299.

I'm looking to pickup an Ipod mini (4gb) if they drop below $150 or so. I bet waiting to have them drop below $100 is too far away. Demand is so freaking high and the competition doesn't seem to have an ipod killer just yet. Right now, they're sitting at $199 and I just can't bring myself to spend that much.

Would be nice though, since now that I moved its going to be a one hour train ride each way to work and back.

Anyone see the new IpodNano yet? Its freaking unbelievably thin - only.3 inches thick. It comes in 2gb and 4gb models, for basically the same price points as what the Ipod Mini was selling for. it looks like it apple isn't selling the mini anymore if you check their online store.

I haven't spent anything yet, but I don't know if I will hold out much longer. I wanted to wait until the Ipod mini was under $100 but they replaced it with this new model, which has flash memory instead of a hard drive. Very tempting.

I bought my wife a Creative NOMAD, 30 giger for Xmas, I now have it and she has the Mini Ipod.

I love it...I can take it anywhere, plug it into the stereo and listen to my own playlists, etc.

It's like carrying your CD's around in your pocket. They are just fun once you have one.

I resisted and resisted buying an IPod but finally broke down and bought a 20 gig.
Now, I can't believe I waited so long. I love this machine. I take it everywhere.
One of the best things since sliced bread.

its only a 3 year old computer.. my dad built it for me as a going away to college present... even though i technically had to pay for it

It would probably to annoying for you to make a disk image so you should burn any files you would be upset to lose.

i dont have a burner on this comp. i was given the choice of a dvd player or a burner and 3 years ago the dvd/burner combo was hella expensive.

i think im just gonna wait it out until i can bring this bad boy home and have my dad do his computer genius on it.
