If no one has Grossman in your fantasy league, pick him up and start him.

There is zero consistent pass rush. The only pressure we get is when we blitz (and consequently leave someone open or single-covered on the outside). A good QB will find the open man or a good WR will beat single coverage.

The front office chose to ignore the OLB position and we're going to pay the price. We could have Deion Sanders and Aeneas Williams at CB and it wouldn't matter with a pass rush this bad.

It was masked by the sacks we got bringing the house but yes this is largely it.

You'd normally say what?

No pressure?

We had like 5 sacks.....

Yeah we did, by bringing the kitchen sink and on a couple of those that fizzled it was 6 going the other way.

Drew Brees or Rodgers would of probably needed orthoscopic surgery after their arm nearly fell off.

Thing is---he stands tall---and he's not afraid---95% of the QBs in the NFL would have gone down with the Porter sack----and what the entire NFL learned today? You cannot underestimate his arm and playmaking ability. Imo the Cardinals were very fortunate he didn't run more. When he starts doing that---wow---he is going to be tough to defend.

We had like 4 sacks...and we had 8 hurries...I think with a non mobile QB...we would have had more sacks. I think if we do the same thing against Washington..we get 8 sacks.

Same both - but there is no doubt Cam Newton has some nice skills. He made some good throws, showed a lot of patience etc. for a rookie.

to answer the topic of this post: yes

the secondary was bad. Kerry Rhodes is a vet -- you cant have a vet giving up on a play and letting Steve Frickin Smith run deep when the QB you are facing can move and has a cannon for an arm. Inexcusable.

That being said: I counted at least five throws where the guy stood tall in the pocket with guys around him and delivered a perfectly placed throw 15 down the field.
