His ball protection is abysmal. His choices seem to be high risk at times. The good ones will not attempt to save every play. He came with a reputation.
Mike McCoy will be gone soon, probably in the next few days. This won't make our OL block better or our WRs seperate better.
Except this part is not correct - you can scheme to help both of these issues. Our OL cannot power block, but when the go sideways, they probably have some other strengths that are not being utilized since the play calling also dictates the blocking scheme. Same with WR - the routes and concepts can be adjusted to your personnel - which McCoy rarely does. Just look at McVay, Shannahan or JDF play designs and you will see average WRs getting open.

Thanks, I don't know the terms for blocking, but what you saidThis OL should be zone blocking, not power blocking...On the runs up the middle where DJ actually gained yards, it was behind a shifting OL, with side to side movement, not straight ahead man on man blocking. That's killing this team.
