His ball protection is abysmal. His choices seem to be high risk at times. The good ones will not attempt to save every play. He came with a reputation.

Arrogant? Eh. Ego driven? Abos-fricken-lutely, and I'd have it no other way. Manning led the league in INTs his rookie year. Lets see if they ego can turn from liability to assassin-like with some experience and time.

If you are down big and try to make something happen while under heavy duress behind an abysmal OL all game long, well, it happens. It would've happened to most - if not all - QBs under these circumstances. If the Broncos are elite at one thing it's harassing the QB in obvious situations with Von Miller and Bradley Chubb, two freak pass rushers.
Actually I think Rosen responded quite well, climbing the pocket, never looking influenced by the turmoil around him, stepping up until the very end. Most rookie QBs would've taken multiple 10 yard sacks running away from the heavy pressure. Darnold and Allen had some of these games with multiple 10 yard sacks while running away. Rosen reminds me of Palmer in the way he almost embraces hanging in there. He knew he made some bad mistakes, but didn't look rattled at all.
Other than our OL getting beaten immediately, the WRs can't get open consistently, which you need to move the chains. I think Chad Williams hasn't caught a pass this season when he was in man coverage, only when he had nobody around him. Same for RSJ. There have been players of similar talent with good production, but they had a scheme in place that would get them open, which we have not.
Anytime DJ split out wide, in the slot or ran a route further than 5 yards down the field, something good happened. Mind boggling why this isn't called more than 3 times a game. Some offenses in recent years evolved around the RB being the focal point in the passing game, which DJ should be. This would help guys like Chad Williams and RSJ to get open and not look like utter trash.
Other than not scheming well, our offense must be coached really bad. As evidenced by the timeouts taken and Rosen having to show skill position players multiple times where to line up or when to go in motion.
Mike McCoy will be gone soon, probably in the next few days. This won't make our OL block better or our WRs seperate better. But the minimum goal must be to get all 11 players on the same page, no matter what you do. You can scheme around talent, but only so much. At least we must make sure to take a baby step in the right direction by being on the same page.

When asked if he should have been pulled at the end of the game to prevent injury, I liked that he was firm insisting that he needs the reps and wants to be out there, something to the effect that it would be a problem if he got pulled.

This OL should be zone blocking, not power blocking...On the runs up the middle where DJ actually gained yards, it was behind a shifting OL, with side to side movement, not straight ahead man on man blocking. That's killing this team.

I cannot think of a worse situation that a rookie QB can be put in then what Rosen is experiencing.
He owns up to his poor decisions and plays in the media when answering questions, and he knows he made mistakes.
Personally, I do not see what else the guy can do. The offensive line cannot block, and the team is one dimensional 5 minutes into the game.
This roster was built to run the ball, and has spent most of the season needing to pass the ball.
Rosen is not playing well, but is is hard to judge what his role in it is. The two pick sixes came from his hand, no doubt, and I HATE making excuses but a tipped ball, and a JJ Nelson doing what JJ Nelson does makes it hard on a situation that is almost impossible to succeed.
In the end it doesn't matter, since I do not see where the Cardinals are going to improve in time to save the situation for Rosen to be a position to succeed and grow.
This is starting to look like the Texans and David Carr, just a matter of time before the Cardinals squander a chance at having a good, young QB to grow around.
