It never got to that. According to reports after he announced his decision, he never considered more than two teams, the Heat and the Cavs.

And, as I posted somewhere, once it went public about the Cavs, there was no way he would burn them again. It was a given. The only team he turned down was the Heat.

I was just paraphrasing someone else. I don't think it had any merit but I didn't think Lebron would go to Cleveland either.

It depends on his contract and other moves. If the Suns were to trade Green, Tucker, and Morris brothers for K-Love after they sign Deng for $8M per year for three years, I'd think it was a damn good signing. If they sign him for $55M over 4 years and no other trades happen, then I'd think it was a bad move.

There is no way Minny trades Love for this package or Deng signs a contract like this.

I would not advocate a trade for Love unless he is willing to sign an extension and he has made it very clear that he will not. If he were obviously, the deal PHX would have to offer would be significant but say PHX is interested in a deal without an extension in place, it should not be for assets that are expected to be part of PHX's long term plans (ie multiple lottery picks). Instead as I have constantly mentioned a guy like Greg Monroe should be what PHX is trying to deal for as he is young, productive and will be much cheaper than Kevin Love.

Deng from what I read has an offer of 2 years, $20M from MIA, I assume that is the best offer he currently has on the table or he would have signed somewhere by now. I really do not see why PHX would be interested unless as some have mentioned Warren will be playing mostly PF.

I believe PHX needs a rebounding PF, dreams of obtaining a stretch 4 are pretty much pipe dreams at this point as there are no real stretch PF's available other than Love. So either PHX takes a shot at either Monroe/Boozer/Humphries or we see Markieff Morris as the starting PF with Warren as his back up next season.

Somebody mentioned perhaps kicking the tires with Ryan Anderson, now that NO has decided to pair up Davis with Asik. He's still under contract so it would have to be a trade; I have no idea what NO would want though.

Would be nice to have him on the team in his prime. Now it's a little late and we're at a stage where we don't need him. Tucker, TJ, Marcus Morris and Green have got this covered.

Someone like Monroe would be nice if we can sign him for 4 years without giving up core/key/favourite players. I understand that is unlikely though.

He's one of those glue guys you need although a bit overpaid. I wish we could have added him on the team.

He thought he was worth more.

Understandable. I think he's always been a pretty good player but never quite as good as his salary would warrant. Maybe he's a little more aware of his true value though now that Chicago not only didn't fall apart when he left, they thrived.
