Disagree. He has as much right to the ball as the WR and he had position on the WR. That was not interference.

He didn't have position on the receiver. He stepped in front of him to impede his progress. It is very simple and very clear to call. McFadden didn't even look back for the ball until it was too late.

First, said in my post those stats dont include the last game. Second, I stated in my post why Wilson was not at fault for the Carlson TD in the last game. Third, TD's allowed can only be tabulated when the player is actually covering the reciever. Statisticians have zero way of knowing if they were out of place or not because they dont know the scheme, thus they do not include out of position as a TD given up, no assumptions allowed jsut game tape. So Wilson giving up a TD to Gore does not count, because he was out of position. Same goes for 1 of the 3 Olsen TD's. We know it counts but stats guys cant do that.

So in reality those stats are meaningless with the exception of the straight man to man situations?

Like the seeming minority I think McF has been a splendid addition to the team.

*ED: Here's an instance where I have to adjust my viewpoint based on evidence. I did some digging and find that my adjustments don't match my beliefs. So I'm forced to re-evaluate my preconceptions.

Consistent pass rush is a key factor. The Cards are 4th in sacks (!) but how much pressure do they put on?

Look at a site that measures pressure:
profootballfocus.com

The #1 team in sacks is the Vikings.
They've pressured the QB 85 times and made 33 sacks.
The #32 team is the Jags. They've got 60 pressures and 8 sacks.

Hyper aggressive teams like the Eagles have 93 pressures and 30 sacks.

Read and react defenses like the Bengals have 59 pressures but 20 sacks.

The Cards have 89 pressures.

..................................

So from that standpoint, why are seemingly 3/4 of the starting DB's taking flack?

DRC is a gambler. For every big play he'll probably be burned on two others. Add in he's only a sophomore and that discrepancy widens.

Wilson's a non-traditional DB who excels in aggressive blitzing and box work.

Rolle's a FS who plays mostly in a C-3 shell who also gambles. No easy task.

So what's McFadden? A physical corner who's good in support. I think he's making the most out of being in a situation that he's not best suited.
