Saw some opinions on him and they say he has a tendency throw inaccurate passes which is proceeded by the typical "those problems can be fixed with work on footwork" blah blah. I have never seen an inaccurate QB on the college level fix inaccuracy once they get into the pros. I'm not saying Mettenberger is, I'm just asking if he is

I can't speak to that, because I haven't watched college games this season. Isn't he the QB that had a major knee injury late in the season, though? It would have to negatively impact his draft stock, if so.

Living in Baton Rouge I have seen a lot of Mettenberger...he is a fair QB,...but IMHO if you want an SEC QB, who is a pocket passer, and will have to sit out a season due to injury(which of course will help him learn the offense)....then Aaron Murray is a far better choice.

I like Murray but don't think he would fit Arians system. Arians like the big arm strong qbs like Rothelisberger, Luck & Palmer. Mettenberger fits that profile at 6'5" 235 lbs while Murray at 6' 1" 208 lbs doesn't.

Mettenberger completed over 64% of his throws this season. I thought he looked really good against Alabama.

He wouldn't survive behind our offensive line. His ceiling in the NFL is Carson Palmer from last year. He has really bad awareness in the pocket and is no better at evading pass rushers than Palmer is.

However, the offensive line is our biggest problem and Keim's #1 priority. With a good OL, Palmer will do much better. Perhaps so could Mettenberger.
