The dirty, cheap-shot Spurs. Getting in cheap shots when the refs arent looking. Versus the fun loving Phoenix Suns, the team everyone loves to watch versus one of the most boring teams in basketball.

I really think this is one of the most excruciating series I've seen for a couple o' reasons.

Even though both teams like a certain style, they both can adapt and play like their competition. So it's a war of styles and it goes all game. The Suns, even though they focus on scoring are a solid defensive team. The Spurs, even though they focus on defense, can score with the best of them.

So as a result, it's back and back.. But what's most striking is how it's almost like the Spurs are trying to dirty this series up enough to keep the Suns from running. Combine that with the fact that people don't want the Spurs to slow down the Suns - Their fun to watch! You have a classic Good versus Evil in my opinion.

Thats why the outrage was so strong with this Amare suspension.. well that and the fact that Diaw and Amare make up almost 40 points for us a game. I think that hurt us a bit, don't you? They got suspended for checking on a teamate after a dirty play by the Spurs. Evil bastards.

Evil is sometimes more skilled than Good. Which will triumph? Whichever David Stearn chooses.

The NBA and the media have straight taken a page out of wrestling.

It is really Face versus Heel.

The babyface usually must overcome insurmountable odds, frequently being ambushed with questionable or even outright dirty tactics.

The heel, if he is well done, gets away with things that only the audience can see. The referee conveniently misses the heel's dirtiest tactics or simply won't acknowledge they happened. This makes the babyface sympathetic to the audience. Most people want to see the "good guy" overcome.

The greatest heels are the ones that used to be the babyface. Their turn is usually astonishing, especially to their fans who can't believe that their heroes would stoop to the level of their past opponents.

All too often the heel is shown favoritism by the powers that be. This only serves to further incite the audience and unite them against the heel.

Usually before the Pay Per View there will be a match where the babyface must struggle against stacked odds and leaves him bloodied and weary.

This formula leads to vastly higher buy rates when the PPV (game 7) finally hits. The "payoff" match is when the babyface is given the chance to succeed in a fair environment.

The babyface that finally acheives victory can capture the hearts of the fans.

The heel that succeeds in crushing the babyface's dreams only makes the crowd hate him even more. Driving more viewership to root for his future opponents.

Either way, the people making the money are happy with the result.

OMG - I just realized what this series is:

HULK HOGAN VERSUS ANDRE THE GIANT!

wait, crap. Hogan was already the champ and Andre was the challenger when they fought in Wrestlemania III.

No, I'll stick by my original hypothesis: The Spurs are the Four Horsemen - Ricky Falir, Arn Anderson and the other two douchebags and the Suns are Sting. poopy thing is that even in the NWA, a fake wrestlign league, Sting never won the title.

okay, I've got another one and this one has a happy ending. This fight is MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE versus Ricky The Dragon Steamboat! And this time, the good guy WINS THE TITLE!

Again another mega-showdown in Wrestlemania III. The greatest even the Pontiac Silverdome and 93,000 people ever saw!

Pretty much. I am a wrestling mark and this is straight Vince McMahon formula. Game 7 on a Sunday will be a ratings bonanza.

Vince always let the good guy win in the biggest event back in the heyday of the 80's, especially in the biggest events. So we've got that going for us, which is nice.

I just hope he's not like that guy running the NWA by in the day. He always let the bad guy win, every once in a while throwing a bone to a fat, bloodied Dusty Rhodes, but even then, he'd just lose the title back to Flair after two matches.

I refuse to believe that this glorious sport is completely scripted like the ol' WWF. I wonder which team is as flamboyant as Koko B Ware?

Truthfully, if it was scripted you know who'd be all over it? The Sportsbooks.

easy. The Mavs. All the talent in the world and no one really dislikes or particularly like them, but they never win anything.

Funny...I saw them as Tito Santana.

hmmm. that's not bad. To be honest, they're better than Koko B. Ware. He just flat out stunk. He was the good version of Steve Lombardi, aka, The Brooklyn Brawler, aka, the bad guy who literally NEVER WON A FIGHT.

We are about to find out if there is any justice at all with the NBA world. I really really do believe that if there is we win this series. I have to admit that my faith in the NBA has never been shaken more then it has been after what has happened in this series so far.
