I have taken note that six of the last seven teams to be able win the Super Bowl did so as a new starter at running back.

Only in year 2003 did no Super Bowl winner have a new running back as from the earlier year.

It is good? Yes?

Yes, it is good. Clearly the key to winning a superbowl is a new running back.:D

Nice find and trend analysis, NAZAQUAD!

So if we had just stuck with JJ all year we'd have won last year?

:D

Actually technically Shipp was a new starter last year since Emmitt started the year before.

Ah great..... mentioning Marcell Shipp is like sending up a signal flair for Kerowack9 to comment. Way to go

Most assuredly it has been.

1999 - Marshall Faulk (trade)
2000 - Jamal Lewis (draft)
2001 - Antwoin Smith (agency)
2002 - Micheal Pittman (agency)
2004 - Corey Dillon (trade)
2005 - Willie Parker (agency)

I do not completely understand the mock draft as Willie Parker is listed as an undrafted free agent. I find no record of him being in the mock draft one or even two years ago.

He was an undrafted FA in 2004.

For this analysis I get praise. For others I get ridicule.

They are just the facts and they seldom don't lie. I know. I have the charts.

Dont confuse praise with sarcasm.

A slight nuance of the English laungage that we have mastered.

Well, trading Fitzgerald is pretty much taboo around here. There is not a need so glaring that we would trade our #1 Pro-Bowl receiver.

You should have expected to get flamed for that.

I guess it depends on how you use the word fact.

If you mean that these events did happen, then yes that is a fact.

Otherwise they are completely useless.

I have come to the conclusion that the only way to a super bowl is to not draft any 1st round WR's or 1st round QB's. Trade away our good WR's, and get a new starting RB every year.

No matter what the circumstances are.

i figure you don't realize that "they seldom don't lie" is like a hedging negative (rather than a double negative 'cuz "seldom" is not really a full blown negative). in other words what you've typed is that facts often lie. the opposite of what you wanted to say (I think).

I have not come to a conclusion to this speculation as of yet. I have studied rookie QB's and running backs changing teams and WR drafted high. I still have much to do on my list.

I expect that by Augusts end I will have a valid conclusion to draw as to our probability to win the Super Bowl. I still have many more models to analyze.

For now I draw no conclusions, just fodder for other fans to consume. It is what makes for good forum procedures.
