Wow, I mean...I've heard some BAD announcing, but Cross was questioning the decision of the Raiders to go for it with 1:20 remaining, 1 time out and down 1.

And it was so atrocious, I felt the need to transcribe, because he didn't stop at the first idiotic comment in the title of the thread.

Cross: Well that's a beautiful job. Another big risk. I tend to get a little more conservative and rely on my defense in those circumstances. Play the odds. I know the clock would run out, I just don't like the chances but that's just me.

I heard this too and couldn't believe it. That guy really needs to take a math class and understand what 40 second clocks mean in football.

Of course though he was clearly against the Cards most of the game. Every play/penalty that could've gone either way he was all over the Cards saying it was their mistake. The BS call on Sendlein flexing his arm before the snap is a nice example. He did nothing different than any other play and it was called for a false snap.

It seemed like the commentators were getting everybodys name wrong. Even the refs were struggling with names on the penalty calls.

...wow was Randy Cross just awful. "I know the clock would run out"....so if you know that why punt and lose??? Idiot.

How bout the the play where beanie slid into the end zone, and Cross screams "He's not down", only to be shown the replay where the raiders defender CLEARLY slaps the lower back/butt of Beanie as Beanie is going down.....Cross calls the contact "marginal at best".....he's so "houlier than thou" he can't admit he's wrong even when the video evidence is slapping him in the face......just brutal....

Yeah, Cross was horrible to listen to...not only extremely anti-Cardinals all game but how you make stupid mistakes like that is beyond me. All announcers, especially former football player color commentators are bad lately it seems...

By the end of the first quarter, I got the impression that Cross humped the Raiders logo every night before going to bed. I kept hoping that the Taylor Lautner look-a-like doing the play-by-play would call him on his BS...but alas, no.

Cross was so bad, that I listened to as much of the Spanish broadcast as I could, but my wife kept making me switch it back to these jokers so she could understand more of what was going on.
