Skelton has more wins than Kolb, and has shown an ability to play in the clutch.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg of this epic discussion.

I say that you start Skelton next week regardless.

I think the fans have/will turn on Kolb a lot quicker than the team will. Should be interesting!!

Take your time, Kevin. It's not that we wish that you'd gotten injured earlier in the season.

Not exactly, anyway.

Kevin Kolb = Rob Johnson.

The team wants to win, and Kolb has never shown the ability to lead this team to victory. Skelton is 2-0, breaking all the losing streaks we had. If I was a player, I would want Skelton to play, just because he gives us the best chance to win.

Which offensive player would prefer to have Kolb right now? Certainly no one on the OL, whom he's constantly made look bad all season. Not Andre Roberts. Maybe Early Doucet? Perhaps Larry Fitzgerald?

It is going to be a tough decision. If anything, Skelton is making the coaching staff really be positive that Kolb is 100%.

If all the stuff written about Larry wanting kk (which he has denied) were true, I wonder how he would feel now.

Skelton was 4/12 early on. But he helped get the win.

I don't know. I was adamant about not giving up what we did for Kolb, but it wasn't because I had a ton of faith in Skelton. To me, this season is a wash, so do what you gotta do to figure it out.

I just don't believe you take a guy out who came in to 1 and 6 situation and played well enough to get two straight wins. It would be different if the guy coming back was a Brees or Rodgers type guy but that is not the case.

I still think Kolb can be good given more time to assimilate and more time from the porous o-line but he should sit until Skelton really struggles.

Agreed. They will bring back Kolb, but won't "rush" him back. Not until he is 100%.....maybe 110%......

Larry just had his best game in 2 years and came within 6 inches of having 3 touchdowns for his first time ever (not counting the playoffs).

I gotta think Larry would lobby for Skelton too.

I won't have an issue either way. While Skelton is 2-0, we're not going anywhere this season so it's not like pulling him in favor of Kolb is going to ruin our playoff momentum or something..

They spent a lot of money on Kolb and I'm not ready to totally write him off as a career back up..

Personally, I don't think either guy is a bigtime NFL QB, but while at the start of the year I would have said Kolb has a bigger upside, at this point I kinda think it's 50/50 which guy is better..

I'll reiterate I wouldn't tie my wagon to either at this point long term, but for the rest of this season I really don't have a preference. I could see the argument for either guy.

Skelton gets everyone involved, and that takes a ton of pressure off of Larry as well, so even Larry would probably advocate for Skelton. The O Line is still the worst in the NFL, but at least John makes them look semi-servicable. When Kolb is in there it's almost as if there is no O-Line existent, since he just runs backwards as far as he can, as fast as he can.

Will anyone be held accountable for the Kolb trade, seriously? It's looking more and more like the worst trade in recent history, someone must be on the chopping block for that debacle!

To be honest, I could care less who is accountable. I won't knock the Cardinals for trying to fix a problem that needed to be fixed.

I will knock them if they don't start Skelton next week tho. Mistakes happen, big contracts to the wrong players happen.

Just don't make it worse by bypassing an opportunity to get that QB that is so hard to find in the NFL.

Skelton has had limited reps, and limited time in Whiz's system. We was a rookie last offseason during the Leinart/Anderson debacle. He was the 3rd string QB during the season. He had no offseason this year. He was hurt this offseason, and I doubt was given much attention with Kolb coming in with a short time table.

But, he has shown the ability to get the job done, and the guy has PROVEN he can play under pressure.

Do it! Start him. Kolb got 7 games. Skelton deserves the same, IMO.

It is not like we are going to "lose" something because of it.

Kolb OBVIOUSLY needs to learn this system better, and Skelton is winning. I don't even see where the question of who to start is.

BUT, this IS the Cardinals. They are experts in screwing up a wet dream.

We're in week 10 of the first season in which we had zero offseason (Kolb got the playbook in the first week of training camp in which he couldn't participate). Its a bit premature to say how good or bad this trade is.

Furthermore its not looking that bad as DRC has been awful in Philly.

2-0 vs. 1-6... I do not see much of a controversy.

As a starting QB for the Cardinals: Skelton 4-2 versus Kolb 1-6.

I'm not down on Kolb like many but I think Skelton is the better choice at QB right now. If Kolb does develop further then the Cardinals have two promising young QBs on their hands. I don't think either player should have a lock on the position but I think it is Skelton's job to lose.

Just becuase we paid big money and overall high price for Kolb should not be the reason for keep starting him.

Just because we f'd up once does not mean we f up twice... two wrongs will not make a right.

I still need to see more of Kolb to know if he can be the man or not. Skelton has garnered som wins, but he's not exactly rolling teams over. I LOVE his ability to remain calm... very impressive. He made a couple of huge plays in the 4th quarter.

Mayby Kolb ends up getting "it" and becomes our franchise QB. In a few years, you can trade Skelton and get back some of what we lost in bring in KK.

Hope we can stack a few more wins. Dang 4.9ers are on fire.

Go Cards!!!

Oh I see, The W's alone are not nearly enough.. he has to "roll" the opponent?

lol :mulli:

He's 2-0 and magically the O-line doesn't look quite as horrible.

I just dont get how someone can still feel this way. What indication is there that Kolb is better or has higher potential than Skelton? That is ZERO reason to believe that. The ONLY thing to rely on is some gushy words by Andy Reid, the same Andy Reid who willingly traded Kolb away despite supposedly thinking the world of him.

Hint: Andy Reid lied. Kolb stinks.

on that slant to LF for the td JS looked the safety off to give LF just enough room to get into the endzone. The next time KK does that will be the first. In fact he usually just stares at LF and then throws it to larry witch then will be defended.
