Carson Palmer is Derek Anderson 2.0. If you hate erratic passing and WR tunnel vision than your going to hate him as much as you hate DA now.

I don't see any point in drafting Pat Devlin? Didn't we just draft a project with all the tools from a small school last year? I think it's Mallet or Luck or nothing IMO but I hate Mallet as a prospect.

I think RB also needs to be looked at. Beanie is unreliable and Hightower is extremely average. Just about every team aside from has a good RB aside from us, I'm liking Mikel Leshoure from Illinois in the 2nd round.

Our starting QB should be in an Eagles uniform right now. Prefer Vick (pay him what he wants) but Ill take Kolb as well.

Palmer has definitely made some head scratching throws this year but to even mention DA in the same breath is ridiculous. Palmer's is a classic change of scenery will do him wonders guy right now. The last 2 years he was healthy he had the Bengals in the playoffs and their division isn't exactly the NFC West. If he'd get out of that circus down there, he'd go right back to top 6 QB imo.

I think he is top 15, Cincy has the 26th best rush offense in the NFL, they average more yards per game than us but a half yard less per carry. So he's the 21st rated passer in the NFL right now on a team very similar to ours in terms of run game.

He's not as good as he was before the injuries but a healthy Fitz and Breaston and Doucet(ok that may never happen) I think you can win with Palmer while you develop Hall and Skelton as future QB's.

Ugh. I don't know. Have you been watching a lot of Bengals games? Bill Simmons joked this week that Palmer and T.O. are the Montana-Rice connection of junk time.

When ahead or behind by a TD, Palmer's QB rating is below 55. When behind by 8 points or more, Palmer's QB rating is 114.1. 3rd down QB rating is below 60.

Palmer's marginally better than Derek Anderson. Not light years. I'd rather have him or Matt Hasselback than Anderson, but I think that at this point Palmer is a below average quarterback--probably one of the 10 worst in the NFL. That's better than the 1 worst in the NFL, but it's not a solution to the problem.

Palmer lost the Tampa Bay game by himself throwing an INT to no one in particular at the end of the game.

Eh, don't love it bro..

I'm a big Peterson fan, but I can't fathom taking a CB there (when we have two solid ones, who are just grossly unmotivated and playing in a pathetic scheme)..

This team has gaping holes on the Oline, at QB, and at OLB...

I need to address one of those holes with a big time first round, Top 5 or Top 10 talent..

I'm not waiting til the second round and gambling with another OLB who may or not cut it...

Same deal with Pat Devlin.. if I'm going with a QB in a high round, I'm just gonna go big and take a Locker or Mallet, and pray they have the brains to make it in the NFL...

Once again, I just can't go BPA with Peterson right now, when the Oline, QB, and OLB positions are just so poor.. I'm using the BPA at those three positions given how dire things look

I also would kill for Andrew Luck. Couple him with Gary Kubiak at OC, DeAngelo Williams at RB and a decent tackle, we would roll the division.

I like Von Miller, and think he might make a quick adjustment to the NFL.

Don't overlook an offensive tackle in round 1. We really need it.

Also on Casey Matthews, James Rodgers and Greg Romeus.

Is Greg Lloyd Jr. out of UCONN worth while? Good bloodlines, but I just don't getto see many Huskies games.

I have the Cards picking 3rd overall behind Buff and Carolina.

1st round: Patrick Peterson,CB LSU, guy is as good a CB that has come around in a while. He's way too talented for the Cards to pass on him. DRC, Peterson, and Toler would give the Cards 3 big, athletic corners to go with the small, unathletic Mike Adams :).

Round 2: Von Miller,OLB from Texas A&M. He's and edge rusher and may drop becuase he hasn't had all that productive of a year because of a bad ankle.

Round 3: Pat Devlin, QB: He sounds like Whiz type of player. Broke his wrist and played 2 weeks later. Plus he has pretty good talent level. Won't be as highly regarded as Flacco but he's not far behind. After Luck, he's got as good as chance as anyone as becoming a good NFL QB.

Round 4: Dont'a Hightower, ILB from Alabama. He's slowed by recovering from a knee injury but before he got hurt he was right there on a playmaking level with Rolando McClain. He could become a serious star in the NFL.It just depends on his knee.

Round 5: John Moffet OG/C from Wisconsin. You really can't go wrong with Wisky OL in the draft. The Cards still need to upgrade C and he could be the guy.

Round 6: Jermale Hines. SS from Ohio State. He would be a good replacement for AW. He's a great athlete, good in run support but is lacking in coverage skills.

Round 7: BPA

I don't think the Cards will draft any OL very high. They will stick with their current group and may only slide Hadnot into someone's spot. Other than Faneca, the starting OL is relatively young. I'm not saying OL shuldn't be addressed. I just don't think they will very early.

Not trying to be a wiseass but you may want to put another small school prospect or two on that list. Wiz loves his small school guys. I can't wait to see how this draft is bungled, especially with what should be a top three pick. I actually think this is the year the Cards finally get the number 1 overall pick. I'm going to be rooting for Carolina and Buffalo like a madman the rest of the season.

The rest of your draft...I could go along with...but I do not like Dont'a Hightower one bit. Even in his 4 healthy games in '09, he displayed a total lack of hustle, a flair for delivering the big hit only after a teammate or 2 had already stood up the ball carrier, and then celebrating alone like he made a spectacular play. Numerous times he'd be jogging after a ball carrier with a big smile on his face after he'd been caught over pursuing or taking lazy angles to the carrier.

I don't like his attitude or his work ethic at all.

UConn has been horrible this year. Their D has looked pretty suspect at times this year. He also blew out his knee last year, ACL and MCL. He has had a pretty unspectacular senior year and lost his starting spot early in the season.
