Lets say I download 10 singles and save them to a specific folder in My Music. I then transfer those songs to Itunes. If I move those 10 songs from their original folder, Itunes cannot find them and is unable to play them or transfer them to my Ipod. I have to manually search for each song and give Itunes their new locations.

Is there an option on Itunes that searches my entire drive for songs? Anying, I am dying here!

Thanks.

You can add a folder to your library by going to File>add folder, then select the folder you're adding your music to.

Maybe there's an easier way, but that's how I do it.

When you add songs to Itunes, there's a preference where itunes will add the song to it's own folder. So technically, you will have two copies of the song on your computer, one wherever your original is and the other in the itunes folder.

That way if you change the file name or move the original file somewhere else, itunes wont care, cuz it's still the same as in the itunes folder.
