Ddogg and Abomb stayed with me n my buddy in our hotel in Orlando and rode with us to the game and back obviously. They crashed on the floor. Made it more economical for them with the price of tickets obviously. Was happy to do it crowded or not. Have made so many good friends over the years from ASFN. So many gatherings and memories.

I hung out with them a bit at the NFL Experience, they were in the section right next to mine. I don't regret going to the Super Bowl...wish it had ended differently however.

Ironically some long time posters on here were posting the exact same optimistic things that they always do :

Talk about a downright misquote! I predicted a win in that game a few posts previously...you just absolutely flubbed that one LOL

In response to an (admittedly light) trash talker:

"There's a board for smack talk, and this isn't it. Go elsewhere if you want to trash our team, thanks much. Now, remember that this is coming from a giant Cards pessimist, but damn it, we earned our way in and we're probably going to win our first game because it's a home game and we're tough at home. After that? Who knows? Teams have won the SB when nobody gave them a shot to advance in the playoffs.

#1: Yes, I corrected my spelling gaffe :D
#2: Man, I long for the days when we were nails at home!

I believe that’s right. Pops won the season ticket lottery but we needed a couple more. Cheese would recall better than I.
Yeah… @nidan sold us his tix at face value. Abomb and D-Dogg were down the row in our section, but we ended up haggling with the people next to us to switch seats so Brother Not Ouchie and Dad could sit next to us.

And I think I still had a freaking flip phone so I never looked at the board once that weekend.

Yeah I know that's why I quickly took it down. Sorry for the misquote.

I've always found it awesome how each poster on here has there own personality and how consistent they are. It's what makes this site so awesome.

Mobile phones have made this site A LOT more accessible. Back in 2008, most of us were still on PCs posting.

So most of the talk was pre and post game.

No worries, brother. Glad to see I was actually optimistic about a playoff game once lol

I was In The stadium about 20 rows up in the Cardinals end zone. Thanks to @Duckjake RIP Buddy.

Was no way I was logging into here.

When they opened the gates If I remember right it was almost 3 hours early. I went in and immediately went to my seats and just sat there and soaked it all in. Looked at the cardinals logo in the end zone painted red. Watched the stadium fill up. Watched/felt the electricity in the air as it started to ramp up. Was pretty amazing. I always said if we ever go back I would do it again even losing it was worth every penny to me… However based on the prices I saw in LA on this last Super Bowl I might have to change my mind sadly… But odds are I’ll never have to worry about it so it’s wishful thinking anyway…
Same here. Got the lottery and was just soaking everything in with my wife at the time.

Saw a bunch of ASFNers - @Shane, @MadCardDisease, abomb, and a whole bunch of others. Great time but sad result. Lol.

There's no time stamp, but this is roughly the last post I had on that SB Sunday:

I'm watching the game at Mr. Stout's (my dad's) house on his big-screen HDTV, with Mrs. Stout (mom) as a partial referee (she's a stiller fan too). I was invited to a ton of parties, but I have to watch this one with my pop. I'm heading over now, so I won't be back on the board until after the game. So, GGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We all sat together in the end zone for a couple of years. It was great.

I was at a time in my life where even though I had SB tickets in my hand, I couldn't even afford the plane tickets to get out there and watch the game. I sold the tickets to someone here on ASFN. It was brutally painful. At the same time, being that close to a SB and failing when Santonio was out of bounds might have killed me.

We threw a serious Super Bowl Party. One that will never be forgotten. Unfortunately, many of our friends are Steeler fans, so it was a mixed crowd. Here in York, no one questions where Hoffa’s body is anymore, but there are a few Steeler fans from that party that have never found. I’ll never tell:cool:

Meh… football has more then enough downtime…. You can post and not miss a second :)
I usually start watching the games right around the 1 hour mark into the game. You can skip nearly all the commercials and half time and end the game almost on time. So like BRR said, no time to post during...

I don't have to be necessarily. My daughter that was logged into YouTube TV said that my home was Denver instead of Phoenix so half way through the season, I had to either wait until it was over, or configure a different email address.

The first option was easier; I'm lazy.

Somewhat. I've tried before but reading posts made me miss plays sometimes.

Generally, I have at least 2 ppl in the room hanging out too so I just hang

Unless you had to completely rewire with cat 6 cables, then you'd do it

I wasn't here, but I was rooting like crazy for the Cards because of Kurt Warner. I was similar to a Lions fan who supported the Rams because of Matthew Stafford, and was upset that Warner to Fitz won that game and then the Cards defense couldn't hold the Steelers off.

I was at the game and met up with a few people from ASFN while out in Tampa. Went to a bar that hosted a ton of Cardinals fans the night before the game. Great atmosphere!

Didn't have time to be on the message boards while out there.
That bar was RIDICULOUS. It was literally the ONLY designated Cardinals bar in the entire city and when we walked in, it felt like I was entering something out of Soddom and Gomorrah. Just a hazy blaze of red, screaming, laughing, chanting… people seemingly hanging from the ceiling fans like gremlins and muppets just going bonkers.

Definitely an image, lovingly burned into my brain forever.

I pray I get to experience something like this in my lifetime.

That was so surreal!
