As HC you have to have command of your team. If you say Dobbs is starting week 9...start him. You dont do a 180 and suddenly make him 3rd string because a few players got upset.

With Dobbs "starting" you could possibly split reps with Kyler in practice. With Tune you're basically forced to give him most of the practice snaps this week.
The mistake was saying anything immediately after a loss. He ended up at the correct decision after bottling it in an emotional moment.

Gannon doesn’t have any more rabbits to pull out of his hat on offense. Dobbs won’t throw the ball down the field. He probably has been told to do so the past few weeks.

Will Levis threw 4 TDs yesterday in an offense that was literally screens and bombs. Could see something similar from Tune.

5.6 YPA is just unacceptable when you have Wilson, Brown, and Moore.

That would be true if they started Tune weeks ago. That way you know if he's a real option or not. Could be a fluke performance for all we know.

Bottom line, forget the mental gymnastics. Just start Kyler if you're moving on from Dobbs.

This QB situation has been horribly mismanaged if you're trying another QB before Kyler.
He's a 5th round rookie with a bad preseason that couldn't unseat Dobbs for 8 games. He was never a real option.

Last year, AZ ran 89% of plays out of the shotgun. Kliff's was primarily a shotgun offense. Seeing Kyler under center 4 or 5 times a games isn't much, especially when those were usually runs anyway.

I never said that the lion’s share wasn’t shotgun. But, if you listen to critics, you would LITERALLY think that he’s never been under center. He obviously has been. Thank you for proving my point.

Several were taking a knee at halftime or game’s end on the rare wins. Numbers can be deceiving.

Single handedly ruining games - single handedly deflating our defense week in week out - single handedly wasting the quality rushing week in week out - it doesn't have to be Kyler - it doesn't have to be Tune - just as long as it isn't Dobbs - unless you actually want to lose the game
The Vikings send their thanks.

So the Vikings are going places huh? Dobbs to the rescue? Playoff hopes still alive?

Or are the Vikings doomed once defenses plan for him, his legs and 5 yard credit limit?
They've got weapons, a great coordinator and most importantly, an incredibly soft schedule. The Vikings playoff hopes are definitely still alive.
