Turning point: Liam Coughlin scored the go-ahead goal at 15:24 in the second period to boost the Jacksonville Icemen past the Greenville Swamp Rabbits 4-3 in Wednesday night's ECHL hockey at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.

Three stars: 1. Christopher Brown, Jacksonville (one goal, one assist). 2. Olivier Nadeau, Jacksonville (one goal, one assist). 3. Noah Laaouan, Jacksonville (two assists).

Penalty box: The Icemen killed off six of seven Greenville power plays — Carter Savoie's second goal was the only exception in the second period — and converted two of their three opportunities with the extra man.

Around the rink: Greenville (25-34-6-2) launched 45 shots and climbed within one on a John Parker-Jones goal in the third period, but Justen Close stopped 42 shots in the Jacksonville net. … Davis Koch notched a third-period insurance goal for the Icemen (40-19-7-1). … With the win, Jacksonville remains third in the ECHL South Division, with a playoff berth already clinched.

Up next: The Icemen return home to meet the Swamp Rabbits at 7 p.m. Friday inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
